Chapter 0003

The next day, Ryvan and Arabella made their way to the City Clerk's office.

Arabella’s mind was entirely numb as they applied for their marriage certificate.

Under the action of money, it didn’t take long to finish it, and they came back very quickly.

On the car, Ryvan was quite happy because the coincidences between them seemed to be God’s arrangement.

He noticed her frosty face, immediately expressing his concern, “Sweetie, you look unhappy that your eyes are full of anger. Trust me, anger hurts your health.”

Arabella turned to Ryvan. "Don’t call me that, Ryvan. How can I not be angry about such a piece a shit of getting married to a stranger? God damn it!” She even hit the steering wheel with her palm several times angrily.

“Hi, calm down, you’re driving a car.” Ryvan raised his hands up, giving a French Salute.

He then continued, “we’re not strangers, we’ve had deep connection, haven’t we?”

“Shut up! Bastard!” Arabella felt embarrassed, staring at him with anger.

"Arabella, I am a medical maestro and many respected figures begged me for treatments.”

"Stop bragging! If you are a medical maestro, then I am the president of the country." Arabella rolled her eyes with a sneer on her mouth.

Ryvan's face darkened as she made fun of his profession.

Just when he was about to speak, a lively voice came from outside the car, “Sis。”

Ryvan saw a girl on the street waving her arm at them excitedly.

Arabella parked her car next to the girl, who started chattering as she got on.

"Sis! I heard you got hitched to a poor…this…man?!"Lilith Brandall, Arabella's younger sister, asked in shock, her eyes widened.

She looked over Ryvan from head to feet, and the expression on her face was getting increasingly contemptuous.

“Dressing cheaply, no more than 200$, he is totally unworthy of my dear sister. Even Bruce is better than him!” Lilith thought in her mind.

“Lilith, this is Ryvan, I just...just...” Arabella felt it somewhat difficult to say. She didn’t really want to admit the relationship with him.

“Good to see you, Lilith. I’m Ryvan, Arabella’s husband.” Ryvan smiled and stretched out his hand to her.

However, Lilith only ignored him and said to Arabella, “Let’s go! Bruce and his friends are waiting for us.”

Arabella nodded her head and looked at Ryvan, hoping he would get off the car.

“I’ll go with you.” Ryvan said.

Lilith winked slyly and said, “He can come with us.” She intended to embarrass Ryvan there so that he would give up.

“Oh well.” Arabella was a little reluctant, but she agreed still.

Then the car hurried to the destination, a fencing club.

... ...

It’s a luxurious club with complete related facilities, which is very suitable for wealthy people to train there.

When they arrived, a handsome young man wearing a fencing suit came out to greet them.

“Bella, Lily, finally you are here.” The man ignored Ryvan, and opened his arms to hug the two females.

Ryvan chuckled lightly and immediately blocked the man.

The man stopped and spoke to Ryvan arrogantly, "I’m Bruce, Arabella’s good friend."

“Bruce Lee?” Ryvan asked curiously.

“Bruce Raymond! I’m the heir to the Raymond Group!” Bruce replied proudly.

“Alright, Raymond, I’m Ryvan, Arabella’s husband.” Ryvan shook his hand and showed him the marriage certificate.

The expression on Bruce’s face became gloomy, his eyes filled with jealousy and hatred towards Ryvan.

"I would challenge you for a fencing match, Ryvan. I want to see if you're worthy of Arabella.”He said with an unhappy look.

"You can decline it if you don't want to embarrass yourself in front of Lilith and Arabella. But as a man, show me your courage and strength!" Bruce said in a mockery tone.

Ryvan sneered, "I accept it, Raymond. But I hope you can hold on for 10 seconds!”

As the Captain of Crested Knights, fencing is just a child’s sport for Ryvan, he values the skill of life-and-death fighting more.

“Hmph, arrogant guy!” Bruce snorted.

Arabella felt concerned about Ryvan when she saw the two standing on the arena platform.

Bruce was good at fencing while Ryvan looked like a newbie. He didn’t even know how to wear the fencing uniform!

She rubbed her forehead, thinking that Ryvan would definitely defeat.

Lilith and others cheered loudly, “Bruce! Bruce! Bruce!”

Hearing the cheers and support from his friends, Bruce sneered, "Hurry up and get dressed, I can't wait to beat you!”

Ryvan threw the uniform aside, pointed at Bruce with his sword, yawned, and said, "Get started!"

Bruce had never seen someone arrogant like Ryvan, feeling annoyed with his actions.

Ryvan, you will pay the price for your arrogance!” Bruce yelled and rushed directly toward him.

As the two men began to fence, their swords clashed rapidly. Arabella and others watched with bated breath.

After a brief confrontation of a few seconds, Ryvan realized that Bruce was a rookie and he lost interest in continuing to fence with him.

When Bruce stabbed him in the face with the sword, Ryvan used his sword to push it away, but instead knocked the sword out of Bruce's hand.

He Ryvan quickly grabbed the falling sword with his left hand, and stabbed the sword into Bruce's chest with his right hand.

“Ah~” A scream of pain rang out from the field.
