Mrs Arlington froze, her gaze fixed on the expensive-looking fragments that were now scattered across the floor.

The now broken plate looked like it could be really expensive and she didn't know what to do.

Both Clara and Jerry were shocked, they saw what happened earlier and the situation changed within a blink of an eye.

The slap intended for Ansel had missed and hit a beautiful plate.

It wasn't just an ordinary plate, it had been placed inside a special thin glass.

“Mom, we need to get out of here,” Clara urged, her grip on her mother’s hand tightening. “If we don’t leave now, they’re gonna make us pay for the damage.” Clara knew they didn’t have the money to cover the cost of a broken plate, let alone the potential damages if this escalated any further. She was scared, not just for herself, but for her family too.

They were tight on money now and paying for this would be the greatest mistake they can ever make.

Clara shot Ansel an angry glare before attempting to drag her mothe
