Chapter Eighty-nine

It was the D-Day.

Vanessa stood close to the entrance of the garden, adorned in a silk dress, minimal makeup and accessories which were just right.

She had helped to welcome the guests, she had smiled toward all, including the Banks who had been invited, when she looked at Jasmine, she muttered to herself how she couldn't wait to see her reaction when the grand reveal was made.

The MacMatthew's had come as well, but Harald MacMatthew gave a nod when she smiled and welcomed them, his wife smiled back and King simply ignored her.

Soon, the Morris family arrived. It was an awkward encounter. Raymond, Jennifer and Jude stress at Vanessa, if looks could kill, she'd already be dead.

"Welcome, I'm so glad you could make it.'' Vanessa said to them, turning to Jude, she said "I told you we would be seeing each other soon, didn't I?. However, the three of them gave her one last look of disdain and walked into the garden.
