PLAYING FOR FOOLS

After attending to Odell and making sure his condition is stabilized, Jade stepped out of Johji Inn and embarked on her formal journey to the Country P merchant's headquarters.

The lady walking with alacrity did not cast a glance at the spot where she was assaulted, nor is she aware that her victims remain still lay where they were last seen. Rather, her green eyes shone brightly as she walked towards her destination, and soon arrived at the front of the large gate, and then admitted inside.

The merchants were in a meeting, and she was made to wait for a while and was offered a bottle of liquor to wet her throat.

Sitting on the balcony that overlooks the large hall that served as the merchant's conference room, Jade was able to see the men stepping out of the hall, after the completion of their discussion.

Because of her training, her ever vigilance eyes counted the number of the men to be seventeen, and she was pretty sure the three musketeers were not among the outgoing men but w
