Charmaine lips quivered and she had no choice but to stutter with her words.
"What's that..." She shuddered. Her stomach flipped and her eyes became more flickering as she blushed. "I think I do care about you more than a friend. I do like you, and I want us to be more intimate than we have already been," Axel pronounced making her feel a thrill in her heart as he shot a piercing gaze at Charmaine which made her jaw drop. "Ooh, okay," Charmaine said and they stopped dancing and she shot a desiring look at Axel also. She knew that Axel had a sparkle in his eyes that intrigued her. "I do like and care about you also at first, but I wasn't sure you were ready for a relationship and that's why I didn't bother telling you," Charmaine summoned boldness to express her feelings effusively. "Wow?" Axel stuttered, his tone laced with astonishment and his ears perked up in delight. "Yes," Charmane replied gazing deeply into Axel's eyes and Axel, like a love predator before his prey gave her a compelling kiss. Axel and Charmaine took a cursory glance at both Drew and Quinn who smiled at them roguishly. "Wait a minute, do you think they have a hand in us coming together?" Charmaine raised her left brow in suspicion. "Hmm, I can't say, I mean they also approached me about the matter" Axel stuttered upon realising what had happened. "Ooh, they also met me, wow!" A broad smile graced Charmane's lips and they both resumed their dance. "Where have you been all my life, you are so beautiful to me," Axel questioned with an amicable smile. "Have been right here all along, just that you weren't available in that way, so I had to be there for you as your friend," Charmaine said while they danced. "So, does this mean we are official? like you are my girlfriend," Axel rumbled. "Of course, I bet I should be the one," Charmaine said and Axel chuckled. A wave of intense concern rippled through Charmaine fortuitously and her face fell to the floor. "What's wrong Charmane?" Axel questioned with intense concern. "How are you going to work out escaping from Hayden's trouble again," Charmaine eyes popped open in curiosity. "Ooh, don't worry, I have everything all figured out," Axel chuckled softly. "I hope so," Charmane let out a low puff as they continued dancing. Gertrude Greer and the other teachers entered the hall to greet the Freshers and welcome them. Awards were given to the best fresher student along with other gravy awards by Oberon. He apologized for the absence of the members of the board to the freshers and sent their greetings to them. "Let's party!" Drew yipped and everyone resumed dancing to the music. At this moment three of Axel's other friends, Hannah Belloc, Moraine Sunders and Ramsey Levine waggled into the hall. "Hey, longest time," Drew honed in with an amicable smile as he gazed at them. "Yeah, it seems we have a new development. Yes, Axel and Charmaine have finally crossed the friendship zone," Hannah teased as they all gazed at Axel and Charmaine who were still dancing together. "Yeah, that's cool," Quinn chuckled softly. "I guess we would have to congratulate them later on," Ramsey said and they all giggled. In a blur of shock, the music was put to a halt by Hayden who was in the company of Silas, Rowan, Gael and Waylen and everyone was perplexed at what happened. "Geez, not again," Drew exclaimed letting out a low puff. "So, Axel Dankworth, the scholarship freak, the puny little turd and gold digger. I told you, we have a deal. I prove the fact you are nothing but a thief for stealing my golden wristwatch and putting it at your desk in your locker," Hayden started with a snicker. "I hope you have got one way to defend yourself because the trial has just begun," Silas added with a jape expression. "Of course," Axel smirked in a manner that made them irked about him. He went away from Charmaine's grasp closer to Hayden where Ryan who had just entered the hall waggled to be with. "So how are you going to defend yourself? In what way?" Hayden questioned as he stroked his chin. "Well, you were right about the wristwatch being on your desk, but I need to ask a question. Why in the world would you go to my locker in class in the first place to search for your wristwatch?" Hayden's lips curled up curiously and subtly. "Well, that's because we had to search everyone's locker till we found it at your locker," Hayden stuttered. "Hmm, that might have been the case, except that wasn't, and am going to show you all the evidence," Axel boomed in an aced manner as he brought out a camera from his pocket and connected it with a chord to the large screen present. At this point, Oberon, Gertrude Greer and other teachers who had left had returned. Across the murmurings and mumblings, Axel let out a low puff as switched on the camera. "I have the video of when the hardy Boyz planted the wristwatch in my locker after switching off the cameras that were present except the new one that Eobard Gregory, the computer teacher had told me to plant in an area Hidden for gravy security," Axel explained as the video played through the large screen, showing when Hayden and the hardy Boyz thought they had switched off the cameras and finally planted the wristwatch in Axel's locker. Everyone's jaw dropped as their eyes popped open in astonishment including Jayden and the entire Hardy Boyz. "I'm sure you know what this means. The suspension is a must for you, Hayden," Oberon snapped. "Come on, I'm sure we can work things out. I'm sure you all know that there is no way you can suspend me if you all don't want to lose your Jobs," Hayden said as he clumsily walked away from the scene with the entire Hardy boys. "Wow, that was smart," Charmaine fluttered her eyelashes in admiration at Axel's handiwork. "Yep, I told you, I got it covered," Axel's eyes glossed with delight as he gazed at Drew, Quinn, Hannah, Moraine and Richard waggling towards him to congratulate him on how he defended himself... Elias Fernsby sat in his lounge room in his elegant mansion chugging down some wine from his glass cup when Hayden stormed in seething with clenched teeth. "What's the matter, son?" Elias questioned curiously. "Dad, I can't understand why a son of not just one of the members of the board of the High school, but one of the notable men in this city would be suspended," Hayden gaffed at the top of his lungs. "What!" Elias yipped as he shot up from the lounge he sat down on..."Who would dare suspend you?!" A wave of fury rippled through Elias as he clenched his fist in rage. "Principal Oberon of course! Dad and I do not understand what's going on," Hayden croaked out bitterly. "Then it must be a misunderstanding. Just one phone call and everything would be in order," Elias rumbled, perturbed at what he was being told. "I just hope, because I am just wondering why that puny little turd of a young man, Axel who was a new student would be favoured over me in a case," Hayden grimaced as he exited to his room. Elias's wife, Rita came in afterwards from the kitchen in a concerned mood. "I heard Hayden's voice. Don't tell me he is at it again, him and his unscrupulous acts once again?" Rita let out a low puff. "Come on, shouldn't Hayden be given the regard he deserves as being our son? Now that good-for-nothing, Principal Oberon is threatening to suspend him," Elias yipped under his lungs. "All am saying is you shouldn't support him yet when you haven't hea
Charmaine felt her stomach clenched at the presence of Ryan and pondered about the main reason why she wanted to see her. "Wouldn't you speak? Or weren't you the one who wanted to see me?" Charmaine said impatiently. "Hmm, I can see that you and Axel are finally a thing. I knew it was right to suspect that you both had something for each other even right while we were still dating," Ryan croaked out with her hands around her waist. Charmaine was startled and shot up from the chair in astonishment. "You are so delusional to believe that Axel would cheat on you. Even if we had some sort of feelings for each other while you both dated, it still didn't change the fact that you cheated first simply because of money," Charmane yipped. Ryan let out painful laughter and massaged her temples to tame her temper for the time being. "Yes, isn't that true? You think I don't know that even though I and Axel are now a couple, you still have feelings for Axel, but you quickly changed to date Hay
A tug of relief etched in Elias's heart as he sat on one of the lounges and balanced himself to speak. "Son, there is no need to worry, because you won't be suspended anymore," Elias rasped and coughed slightly. "Honestly, am supposed to be excited about this, but still I can only help but be relieved because that idiot, Axel still walks as if he owns the school," Hayden scowled. "Come on son, after all, you are still in the school, so there is absolutely nothing you should worry about," Elias let out a low puff. "Hmm, this is interesting. So in other words, Hayden was guilty but got off from this and wasn't suspended?" Rita said as she waltzed into their presence in curiosity. "Come on Mom, you can't possibly be taking the side of someone you haven't even yet seen," Hayden snapped. "I know you, son," Rita retorted and faced Elias. "Dear, don't you think we need to have a talk with our son about these unscrupulous acts of his at school? I mean everyone knows how big of a bully he
Oaklynn was flustered as her eyes popped open almost from her socket she sat startled about what she heard while Axel blushed where he stood. "Come on Axel, why am I just hearing about this?" Oaklynn shrugged jokingly. "Mom, you were just recovering. I was waiting for the right moment to tell you. Didn't consider to tell you immediately," Axel guiltily stroked his chin. "Ooh really? That's not an excuse, I mean, just look how I missed out on important stuff that happened," Oaklynn said and chuckled softly and Ottiline joined her. "Of course, I get the feeling, but trust me, my grandson, your son meant well," Ottiline said afterwards. "Alright then, if that's the case. I'm just startled that Charmaine has been your good friend and no one ever knew she would end up being the one for you," Oaklynn felt flustered since she wasn't expecting it. "I mean it wasn't obvious then that feelings were between the two of you, but no wonder it was like you were inseparable and she was the cling
Axel Dankworth waltzed elatedly towards Duncan Hillside High School for studies in search of Ryan Flannery his girlfriend. He glanced at his wristwatch succinctly and was filled with euphoria about the fact that it was 7: a.m. and that he was prompt for school duties. It was accustomed for class to commence at 8:am but it would be prudent for one to appear at 7:am in school to get set for the day. He was amongst those that agreed to do this and it was counted unto him for his slight smugness. He bounced towards the school walkway briskly and then moved towards his locker to place his bag thereafter unlocking it with his key. He scrutinized the whole area in search of Ryan because he knew he wanted to see her. They had both planned that they would meet at this particular time and space and he was flustered as to why he didn't see her. He cupped his cheek as he glanced once more time and it was the same results. "Hey Axel," Some students passing by greeted him succinctly and amic
Axel tried to act surreptitiously about his current grave peril when he packed his bags. Normally it would be grotesque for a student to return home after coming early as he did, but it was his irrefutable condition. "Hey, Axel! What's wrong? Hope you are good?" Drew McConnell passed by and gazed at Axel packing all his loads and was bewildered. "Yeah, I'm good. I will chat with you about it later when I get home," Axel replied and resumed packing his loads unperturbed. Drew felt a tad culpable about the fact he had to evade the scene with the others when the Hardy Boys got there. "I'm sorry I evaded when the Hardy Boyz were present," Drew implored apologetically even though he knew that most of Axel's friends did the same. "Ooh, you mean those Nordic Shit-wits. It's nothing, you did the right thing," While Axel waggled to the exit of the school with his bag, he glanced at the Hardy Boyz all sneering at him. He knew they must have caught wind of what must have happened. He bo
Axel finally picked himself up from the floor as his stomach flipped and he hung his head low in the presence of people passing by. "That lucky bastard!" He mumbled inwardly, rolling his eyes, shuddering his shoulders and clenching his jaws as he waggled out of their premises back home. Axel was already fed up with the rancid words that were said against him so far for that day, especially by the hardy Boyz. His frowny face squished further into the ground as he waltzed to take a taxi back home. While he was being driven back home, in his state of sobriety, myriads of sadistic thoughts flushed his mind as he massaged his temples. "Was I beguiled all this while? Thinking that I was in a relationship, whereas Ryan had been using me all this while?" He mumbled inwardly as tears pricked against his eyes. He was completely whacked off his mind and a chill of dread seeped into his bones because he was fed up with what he had gone through so far and finally a slay tear slithered down, t
Madam Ottiline's words trickled down his ears as he felt super pumped about the news he had just heard. His heavy gaze lingered on her as he got hitched through myriads of thoughts within himself. If everything was true, it meant that his current grave peril would be reversible. He chuckled sably and inwardly to himself at the hardy Boyz. He couldn't help but be gleeful about their reactions when they found out who he was. He felt a tug of relief etched in his heart. "I need to check on my foster mom, grandma," He implored facing Ottiline who nodded her head and not in repugnance. Her lips curved into a broad smile as she spoke with her lips twitching upwards in an amicable manner. "Of course dear. You can confirm it for yourself, then she would be able to confirm how she and your foster Dad found you to keep you safe and bring you up to this point," Ottiline voice boomed in an aced manner. "Alright.." Axel stuttered as he waggled out of the flashy mansion with his diamond card
