Writer's POV

"Let him go." Magda seethed, watching as Zenin had his hand wrapped around Harry's neck

"I'll let him go in exchange for you." Zenin smiled.

He took his hand away from Harry's neck but the Special still remained in the air while Zenin's grip remained on his neck.

He was not longer holding him but Harry never stopped choking.

He glanced at Magda from where he was, muttering inaudible words.

"Sacrifices. That's what you Specials claim do, isn't it? If you're such a hero, you're going to have to give yourself in exchange to make sure he returns to the academy safe." He folded his arms under his chest and waited for Magda to make her choice.

"Don't do this, Magda." Harry said in a choked breath.

He shook his head rigorously, already knowing what Magda's decision was going to be.

She would do absolutely anything to make sure her team remained safe even if it meant sacrificing herself.

And that was one thing Harry was going to make sure she didn't do.

"Why do you want me in exc

I asked Micah as I stared into thin air.My hands grew cold on my legs.I had never seen so much blood in my life before, especially when there was no physical weapon inflicting the injuries on Aki."He's a fighter, he'll survive. It's not the first time he's experiencing such." Micah answered.Even though she tried hard to conceal her fear, I could still clearly hear it in her voice. If Micah was so scared of what had happened to Aki then this was the first time something of such a great deal had happened to Aki."What was that?" I finally asked, turning to look at her.Her skin was pale in fear and I didn't fail to notice her shaky hands."Sibling bond." She answered.Sibling bond….. What on Earth was that?"Aki and Magda share a

I stared at the screen without blinking. The tab didn't disappear. How was I supposed to even remove the bond? The only reason I was able to grow this strong was because Magda had offered to train me.Now, I had the chance to save her brother but I didn't even know how. After much contemplation, I got out of the bed and headed over to the healing facility. When I got there, Micah was nowhere to be found. The healers were beginning to have a hard time healing Aki and keeping him alive. The only thing they could do was heal him anyway, if he died there was absolutely nothing they could do.I waited for a while hoping that Micah would return to the healing facility but she didn't.I went searching for her in the two places that Magda had trained me but she was not there.I thought of the Principal's office but then, I couldn't risk going there and have him find out what Magda and Micah have been doing all along. It was far roo risky to let that happen especially with my fight with Ivan c

He grinned mischievously."What is going on?" Aki asked, confused."You fell unconscious because of the bond with Magda." Was the only explanation Micah gave Aki.She didn't even need to speak further.Aki knew that if he had fallen unconscious because of the bond he shared with his sister then something terrible must have happened to her."Why am I conscious, then? Has Magdalena returned from her mission?" He asked, looking at Micah for an answer.Somewhere within him, he knew he hadn't regained consciousness because his sister was fine."Speak to me, Micah." He demanded, almost loudly, when Micah said nothing to answer his question."Her team returned," Langrid answered."Not even all of them returned, only a handful." He added.Aki said nothing for a moment, he just sat there, staring into thin air. When he finall

Callin was a little disappointed in how relaxed Ivan was concerning his fight with the young Ash.He knew Ivan was much stronger but he still believed that he shouldn't just sit around."You know,...." He took a seat."Wielding Chorazin prototype isn't easy. You have to prepare your mind and body for it. It's really strong, almost to a maddening state. If you don't prepare now, we will fail." Even after his words, Ivan still made no comment."It might seem like Kastian's prototype is not as strong as his mother's but Chorazin shouldn't be underestimated. You saw how strong his prototype was on Earth, you shouldn't doubt it, Ivan. Just because the kid can't wield it doesn't mean it's not powerful." Callin continued to speaking until Ivan answered him."I have no plan to fight him. He's ignorant, I do not wish to waste my time and abilities on him.""What?

Kastian's POVI hurried down to my dormitory in time to meet Landon."Where exactly do you go to? Training someone else, Ash?" He raised his brows."You never said that I had to tell you everywhere that I went to." I countered and he gave up.We walked in silence to our training ground."Shall we?" I began immediately.I lifted my body really high in the air, high enough to land him a kick on his face.Cussing as always, he fell to the ground."Have you learned nothing, Landon?" If he wasn't improving then I wasn't good enough of a trainer. Not like Magda.I wonder how she's doing, if she's still alive. No doubt, the same thing that had been abducting Specials from Earth had showed up on Magda's mission. As shady as I found him, I doubted the Principal would send Specials on missions higher than their ranks.Magda and her team should have all returned safely like they always did. When I wasn't concentrating, Landon managed to land a punch on my face."Focus, Ash. Once I was in my dormitory, I went to my bed and shut my eyes.I hated that I didn't know the exact entry and exit of his Universe and so couldn't go as I pleased.Shortly after I had laid on the bed, I was in his Universe again."You know what happened." I wasn't asking, I was stating. He seemed to keep tabs on the academy so he must surely know what had happened to Magda and her team."And I thought you were here to get stronger."I watched his outline as he came to stand in front of me.I have never really taken time to try to get a good description of him through his outline. He was almost taller than I was. I bet I wouldn't be able too notice the very slight height difference if I wasn't watching him from such a close range. He didn't look as huge as Landon but had More bodyguard build than someone like me.Speaking of bodybuild, I could barely recognize my arms in the mirror again. The exercise routine had done a great deal.Sometimes, I believe it might have made me taller."Do

I bent the blood into a knife and shoved it deep into his shoulder. He groaned and then pushed me off his body.Since we began this training session, he hadn't hit me much.I was so much stronger and faster now than I had been before.I waited for him to get up. It took a while before he struggled to his feet, holding his injured shoulder."That's going to heal, right?" I grew a little worried. He had never been so injured in any of our training sessions. So seeing him in such a condition made me worry a little."I always heal, Kastian." He chuckled.I stretched out my hand and the blood flowed back into my body."This ability sort of irks me out, actually." He said."Why?""You have to cut yourself everytime to use your own damn ability and after stabbing me with it, you still call it back into your own body. Now if that doesn't irks anybody out, I don't know what will." I laughed at his words and we just stood there.Soon, the screen appeared, Level five of second level, unlocke

After I decided to train until I was as strong as my mother and possibly stronger, they began training me immediately."Magdalena put so much faith in you, you better not disappoint her." Were Aki's words before we started training."We shall resume our last training." He said as Langrid and Micah stepped away to give us room."Now, where did we stop?" He wasn't asking, he was merely preparing himself.Flames sparked at his fingertips and arrows made of flames appeared.I readied myself as blue wrapped around my hands.I dragged my thumb over my teeth fierce enough that a little blood flowed out of my broken skin. Now that I have come to trust Langrid, to an extent, I no longer needed to hide my abilities from him. From the corner of my eye, I watched as a mild expression of surprise covered his face when I turned the little drop of blood into a bloody shield.Literally a bloody shield. With a swipe of his finger in the air, all the arrows came flying at me.I held my shield firmly an

After what felt like a few days, I had gone through the rest of the videos on the flashdrive, taking mental note of the few strategies my parents taught me when fighting using physical and Special abilities. By the time I had successfully gone through the entire flash drive, the laboratory had run out of food. I had already covered the entire books in the laboratory but I was yet to start training with the dummies or even my Special abilities. I didn't know if I was going to get new abilities or if I did, what they were going to be. I went to the training ground to train with the dummies. It was just like fighting Aki, Langrid or Landon except, the dummies already had their moves programmed. Turning them on, I took my stance, ready to train. There was no one to access my progress except the screen which I now understand was the seal created but my parents to protect me. I continued screaming as I kept falling from what I now realize was a building and not a cliff. The mayor had just commissioned the building project before the day of my examination.Just how long had I been away from Earth for the building to have been completed so fast? Do not fall."What the hell?! I'm falling already!" I screamed at the screen as I continued to fall.No one could see me nor hear me so no one was coming to save me.No one would know when I fell and if I died which I knew I would, falling from such a height."Breathe, Kastian. Just breathe." I closed my eyes and tried to block out the fear.Aki had said that I could create absolutely anything with flames. If I could create a flame version of myself then creating something to save myself shouldn't be difficult."As long as you can think it, you can make it, Kastian." I repeated those words a few more times until I felt heat on my fingertips.I imagined a parachute made of flames and immediately something pulled me

Callin whispered, watching how Ivan arched his back and moved his body in the creepiest way.Landon was terrified and in shock to even move an inch."Get the hell away from him!" Callin screamed and Landon quickly moved away, shaping out of the shock."What is happening?" Landon asked Callin. The portals had closed and the knives had stopped flying at the Principal. He could barely stand with knives all over his body."I don't know." Callin was confused. When he had worked on Zenin, nothing of this sort happened."What the hell is that supposed to mean?!" Landon screamed at the principal, watching how Ivan's body kept bending in the weirdest angles."I've never worked on anything like this before. It's….. it's…. It's insane." Landon asked Langrid, curious. It sounded like real chaos from inside Kastian's room, he dreaded stepping out."You're about to find out." Was Langrid's only answer as he handed out their communication materials to each of them."So," he was interrupted by a loud bang outside Kastian's room.He only spared the door a glance before speeding up with his explanation."There have been changes of plans. We are canceling out Aki destroying the laboratory and my part to find out what Callin knows. What's out there is probably going to destroy the entire school. What we feared the most has come for us, we don't not need anything else that Callin knows." He rushed his words.Aki took the ear plugs from Landon to help him with it.The latter struggled with it as fear ate deep into his bones.Over the length of time he had been in the academy, they had been made to believe that no one could

Writer's POV"That was a strange plan, Langrid. It could have fucked us up." Aki didn't believe the plan was going to work.Nothing he believed seemed to work these days; from letting Magda go on that mission believing she was going to come back, to believing Kastian was actually going to win his fight with Ivan, free and fair."Yet, here we are with knowledge no other Special knows." Landon was still a nervous wreck."You look like shit." Everyone could clearly see Landon shaking yet, Aki purposely pointed it out."Leave the kid, Aki, would you?" Micah rolled her eyes."So, where do we go from here, Langrid? We have enough knowledge really worth having our memories wiped out this time." Micah turned to Langrid."The real transfer of the prototype into Ivan's body has not begun. It's only been tested on him to check if he can survive having such powerful prototype in his body. The Principal is not going to return to Ivan until the next two days or tomorrow, if he's curious to know how

It's not about us this time or just the people close to us that have been affected but about the whole of humanity. This is us truly being heroes.""Keep me at bay?" Landon scoffed, joining them."Shit!" Langrid cussed."I didn't cover us with Stealth.""How did you get away from your friends?" Micah asked, stepping closer to Landon."D-grade Special illusion user." Landon straighted his shoulder and stood proudly."Although, I'm pretty sure the ranking system made a horrible mistake leaving me in the D-grade." The Principal opened a portal and nodded at Ivan. The latter didn't take his hands off Langrid's head immediately. He still doubted that it was a good thing leaving Langrid alive."Let him go, Ivan. If I say he's going to help us then he will." The Principal instructed Ivan sternly. He still hesitated but eventually took his hands off Langrid.Once he was free, he looked back and forth at the Principal and Ivan."Why are you both staring so weirdly?"
