After my second routine which just consisted of the exercises in my first routine, I returned to my dormitory.

After a long shower, I climbed my bed and waited for the midst to take me.

As I waited, I thought of the midst.

What if the midst was the wind elemental ability?

The midst would most likely consist of wind and not water plus it came from my prototype so this was definitely a good explanation.

When I opened my eyes, the midst had brought me to his Universe.

The air here was a little frosty, as I breathed in, I could feel the wetness of the air in my nostrils.

How come I had never noticed this?

"I see that you are beginning to take your father's form." I heard his voice and saw his outline walk toward me.

"You knew my father." It was more of a statement than a question.

Anyone that knew the academy, definitely knew my parents.

"He was a large man which should have been intimidating but he gave off a really kind aura." I imagined him smiling as he said those words.

He honestly w

I felt like a hundred pound weighing person had been dropped on my body when the midst brought me back to my dormitory.Tiredly, I dragged myself to the bathroom.I looked like shit. There were purple lines under my eyes and the skin there looked like it was beginning to sag.Just that little display of power yet, I looked this bad.The blue glow appeared in my veins and all the bruises healed.I went back to looking normal once again. He said he had a problem with staying in my head just like he pleased but he didn't look like he was having a problem at all.I would have never believed his words if I didn't know myself.Whenever I felt like I could breathe again, he had momentarily and unintentionally left my head but when it felt like air was being sucked out of my lungs, he was back in my head.My prototype was so strong yet, it couldn't withstands his power.I wondered what prototype he had.Langrid had said that there was no prototype stronger than Chorazin yet, I always got my a

They all waited as I arrived."I want to do something differently." I said upon my arrival. They all nodded at me to state what I wanted."I want Micah to train my mind."She might have told me that I had a strong mind but after my fight with him, I only realized that I was much, much far from having a strong mind.He had easily filled the space in my mind with his darkness and spread his eerie cold all through my body's.It felt like dying while being tortured but still living.I didn't want to ever have such experience ever again."You already have a strong mind, Kastian. Moreover, I can't train your mind without first getting into your head so much that you would have to learn to stop me from doing it." She had a suspicion look on her face. She was definitely wondering why I suddenly wanted to train my mind when all along, I had been obsessed with training my body and getting incredibly strong, physically."I will allow it."Initially, I hated that Micah's could get into anyone's h

I fell to the ground for the umpteenth time, groaning in pain as blood oozed out of my nose.He was much stronger than he looked.Maybe it was because his Special ability was invincibility but I had underestimated Langrid a great deal. His Speed was on Whirl level, he was almost as strong as Aki and with his assassin Level of Stealth, I never saw his attacks coming.Even when I tried to listen to his footsteps and try to get him through that, I always failed. He moved like a shadow; couldn't be seen, couldn't be heard. While I nurses my broken nose, he undid his Stealth in front of me.He had punched my nose severally, I was damn sure it was merely hanging off my face right now.He never gave me time to heal. While I was still healing, he always attacked me."I'm not going to hold back on you, Kastian." He said.I appreciated his decision not to hold back on me but I pitied myself for the series of beatings I was going to get just from fighting him."I appreciate that, Langrid." I man

My muscles burned with pain; a constant reminder that pain was my gateway to the strength I wanted. When I did the last sit-up, the screen appeared, Daily routine completed! Time for training with Special Landon.I healed as I walked back to my dormitory, Landon was waiting for me.I could tell that he badly wanted to know where I always went to. He must find me really busy for a Special with no class or training schedules."Once again, you were not in the dormitory. Surprise, Surprise" He rolled his eyes as we walked to our training spot.I ignored his statement, "Your friends came looking for me.""What?!" He stopped on his tracks, horror on his face as his skin grew pale."I didn't go against our deal, Landon. You do not have to worry about that." I couldn't help but laugh. His ego was twice his size and he would do literally everything just to make sure it didn't get hurt.He frowned and hissed then started walking ahead of me."What did they want?" He asked a little angri

Landon's eyes both sent black and the ground beneath our feet began to vibrate.Right before my eyes, the sky above us turned a darker shade of blue and by the time I brought my attention back to the ground, the sand was red and soft.I was slowly sinking into them, I caught myself enjoying it.I have never been to a beach before.Landon wasn't even done yet but it was already feeling really relaxing in here.Everything around us changed; the training ground became more vast and a large, seemingly endless vast blue sea appeared by my right, raging. After he was finished, Landon's eyes changed back to their usual colors."Red sand and cold biting sea on a beach, there you have it." He spread his arms toward the sea and shut his eyes.It looked like he was enjoying the feel of his own hallucination. The sea was indeed cold biting.I just wanted to remain here for a really long time and do nothing but relax. For just a tiny moment, I didn't want to care about the academy, Zenin, my mothe

Writer's POVThe Principal had gone through the folders of several documents he kept on Zenin and Ava's experiment. He hid these folders away from Ava and Liam so they would never find his true goal in doing the experiments. When he had gone through the folders he had kept with him, he only realized how useless they were.He had kept the wrong folders with himself and stored away the really important ones in the room where the experiment was conducted."Shit!" He cussed loudly, dropping the folders. There wasn't so much time left before the fight between Ivan and the young Ash.He wanted everything in place for the experiment before the fight.Callin didn't know what Ivan was up to.He wouldn't say a word to him so Callin didn't want to be taken by surprise. He wanted to be ready when Ivan made his decision on how he was going to defeat the Young Ash without raising a finger.Sighing, he opened a portal to the room where the experiment had been done.Whenever he needed to visit the ro

Once again, I was in his Universe. His outline was right in front of me like he's been waiting for me.Had he been waiting for me?"Waiting for me, I see." I teased him."You have only nine days left." He overlooked my tease and began walking away."I know." I follow behind him.Aki went easy on me until it was time for Langrid to train me.I had managed to shut out Micah, I guess that was something I could do without having her hold back on me.As for Langrid….. I still couldn't even land a proper punch while using my physical ability, especially when he used his damn assassin level of Stealth. And as for him, I couldn't still beat him in a battle using our Special abilities, either."You failed the last time. We are going to be retaking that fight to see if your 'Special friends' have taught you anything useful." He sounded pissed but nothing pissed. Not pissed in a sense that he had always been like this but pissed in a sense that it felt like knowing I had only fewer days before t

All you have to do is avoid getting pushed off the fence." There was a groan in the end of his Speech that made it obvious he was tired of telling me not to push Langrid off the fence."Got it!" I nodded at him as he controlled the palm of flames to bring Langrid back to the fence. The latter goes invincible again once he is back on the fence.Aki had created really tall fences with flames. His aim was

After what felt like a few days, I had gone through the rest of the videos on the flashdrive, taking mental note of the few strategies my parents taught me when fighting using physical and Special abilities. By the time I had successfully gone through the entire flash drive, the laboratory had run out of food. I had already covered the entire books in the laboratory but I was yet to start training with the dummies or even my Special abilities. I didn't know if I was going to get new abilities or if I did, what they were going to be. I went to the training ground to train with the dummies. It was just like fighting Aki, Langrid or Landon except, the dummies already had their moves programmed. Turning them on, I took my stance, ready to train. There was no one to access my progress except the screen which I now understand was the seal created but my parents to protect me. One of the funniest came on and before it attacked me, I quickly attacked it just like my father had explaine

I continued screaming as I kept falling from what I now realize was a building and not a cliff. The mayor had just commissioned the building project before the day of my examination.Just how long had I been away from Earth for the building to have been completed so fast? Do not fall."What the hell?! I'm falling already!" I screamed at the screen as I continued to fall.No one could see me nor hear me so no one was coming to save me.No one would know when I fell and if I died which I knew I would, falling from such a height."Breathe, Kastian. Just breathe." I closed my eyes and tried to block out the fear.Aki had said that I could create absolutely anything with flames. If I could create a flame version of myself then creating something to save myself shouldn't be difficult."As long as you can think it, you can make it, Kastian." I repeated those words a few more times until I felt heat on my fingertips.I imagined a parachute made of flames and immediately something pulled me

She smiled.I was tempted to skip the other parts of the video until I found the part where she spoke about the deal she must have made with the Principal but I didn't.Every detail was important and I didn't want to miss it."Callin wanted control." Callin whispered, watching how Ivan arched his back and moved his body in the creepiest way.Landon was terrified and in shock to even move an inch."Get the hell away from him!" Callin screamed and Landon quickly moved away, shaping out of the shock."What is happening?" Landon asked Callin. The portals had closed and the knives had stopped flying at the Principal. He could barely stand with knives all over his body."I don't know." Callin was confused. When he had worked on Zenin, nothing of this sort happened."What the hell is that supposed to mean?!" Landon screamed at the principal, watching how Ivan's body kept bending in the weirdest angles."I've never worked on anything like this before. It's….. it's…. It's insane." He stuttered."You've worked on something like this before? With who?" Landon was beginning to understand why Kastian always asked him questions that made him doubt

Writer's POVLangrid rushed back into Kastian's room, looking all ruffled up."What's it like out there?" Landon asked Langrid, curious. It sounded like real chaos from inside Kastian's room, he dreaded stepping out."You're about to find out." Was Langrid's only answer as he handed out their communication materials to each of them."So," he was interrupted by a loud bang outside Kastian's room.He only spared the door a glance before speeding up with his explanation."There have been changes of plans. We are canceling out Aki destroying the laboratory and my part to find out what Callin knows. What's out there is probably going to destroy the entire school. What we feared the most has come for us, we don't not need anything else that Callin knows." He rushed his words.Aki took the ear plugs from Landon to help him with it.The latter struggled with it as fear ate deep into his bones.Over the length of time he had been in the academy, they had been made to believe that no one could

Writer's POV"That was a strange plan, Langrid. It could have fucked us up." Aki didn't believe the plan was going to work.Nothing he believed seemed to work these days; from letting Magda go on that mission believing she was going to come back, to believing Kastian was actually going to win his fight with Ivan, free and fair."Yet, here we are with knowledge no other Special knows." Landon was still a nervous wreck."You look like shit." Everyone could clearly see Landon shaking yet, Aki purposely pointed it out."Leave the kid, Aki, would you?" Micah rolled her eyes."So, where do we go from here, Langrid? We have enough knowledge really worth having our memories wiped out this time." Micah turned to Langrid."The real transfer of the prototype into Ivan's body has not begun. It's only been tested on him to check if he can survive having such powerful prototype in his body. The Principal is not going to return to Ivan until the next two days or tomorrow, if he's curious to know how

FLASHBACK"I'll keep Kastian's friend at bay. He might cause some trouble if he's left unwatched."Friendship.That was the only possible relationship between Kastian and Landon that Micah, Aki and Langrid believed caused Landon to react the way that he did over Kastian's death."We'll meet here tomorrow and share information. It's not about us this time or just the people close to us that have been affected but about the whole of humanity. This is us truly being heroes.""Keep me at bay?" Landon scoffed, joining them."Shit!" Langrid cussed."I didn't cover us with Stealth.""How did you get away from your friends?" Micah asked, stepping closer to Landon."D-grade Special illusion user." Landon straighted his shoulder and stood proudly."Although, I'm pretty sure the ranking system made a horrible mistake leaving me in the D-grade." He muttered but loud enough for them to hear."You cannot be here, kid. You should leave." Aki told Jim off and Landon huffed."You think you're the only

The Principal opened a portal and nodded at Ivan. The latter didn't take his hands off Langrid's head immediately. He still doubted that it was a good thing leaving Langrid alive."Let him go, Ivan. If I say he's going to help us then he will." The Principal instructed Ivan sternly. He still hesitated but eventually took his hands off Langrid.Once he was free, he looked back and forth at the Principal and Ivan."Why are you both staring so weirdly?" He frowned, moving closer to the portal."You declined joining us for the experiment on me." Ivan decided to test if they could really go on without killing Langrid."Stop foo

Your father was a bit skeptical about the whole plan to go to Karile and check it out."She smiled and looked sideways like she was avoiding getting caught saying the words she was about to say, "To be honest, soldier, I was equally terrified."She straightened her back, "But of course, I hid it from your father. I couldn't let him see my doubt if I wanted him to get out of his own doubt and trust my plan.""I couldn't blame him since I was scared too.
