CHAPTER 71

Writer's POV

A brunette hid in the bathroom for fear of what she had done.

She didn't mean to but she had almost drowned her best friend in the bathroom after gym class.

Biting her fingers was the only thing the poor girl could do until she was certain that her best friend would live.

"You didn't do it." She said to herself, staring back at her reflection in the mirror.

She had bitten her fingers so hard and so deeply, she now chewed down on her flesh.

Her face was white from fear and her mascara was nothing but a disaster around her eyes.

"No!" She suddenly pointed at her reflection while wiping away her tears with her free hand.

"The shower was on, someone had left it on. You have absolutely nothing to do with what happened to Marvy. It was an accident and you were just unfortunate to be there."

She almost believed her words until she broke down in tears, falling on her knees in the bathroom.

She didn't want to believe it but somewhere deep in her heart, she knew what she had done.
