Chapter 12

I don't understand.

This was my training with Magda and Micah, not him.

Why was the second segment of the first level ticked off?

"Are you okay?" Magda asked, noticing how my countenance had changed.

"I think you used too much force. It's training Magda but he's a beginner. You don't have to go all out on him." Micah whispered to Magda.

"I swear to you Micah, I didn't even use the little strength that I have." Magda whispered back to her.

I looked at the screen and then back at them.

They couldn't see it, of course.

"It's not that." I exhaled, thinking of an explanation that wouldn't sound dumb.

"I just still find it hard to believe that this is all real. Still can't believe my parents knew this existed and were even a part of it." I turned around as if still admiring the academy like I did when I just got here.

I didn't want them to see it in my eyes that I was lying and I hoped that Micah didn't go into my head to find out herself.

"I understand." I heard relief mixed with admiratio
