Drop-out

Lanzo descended the stairs, bringing his steps toward me who just stood dumbfounded. All my body parts betrayed me. My dumb tongue couldn't even produce a single word. My rooted feet didn't allow me to move. My eyes stuck on Lanzo whose movement became closer and closer to me. His repeated question broke the quietness.

"Have you heard everything?" My slight nod confirmed my answer. No comments existed in his mouth; he abandoned me, instead.

Getting my senses back, I ran upstairs to check Marin. That girl still crouched in her place; her pale face gushed among her long hair that shadowed both of her cheeks. She was in his worst state ever; the cheerful girl now had turned to someone else I didn't recognise. She was totally different with her pathetic appearance. It knifed my heart to pieces to see her like a living corpse.

"M-marin…," I said her name in quiver. She froze as a statue. Her eyes didn't even blink as if my call didn't reach her. Walking slowly toward her, I wiped my tea
