11 THEY FINALLY MET

It has been a long time since Fernando had been longing to see this lady who once came to the shop in the past few days.

Fernando was running out of patience as the lady never showed up, and he wondered what to do as he didn't have her contact.

Mr. Lucas, on the other hand, was also complaining about the lady he was crushing on as she kept giving him excuses.

She didn't reject him, nor did she accept to be his girlfriend. She kept telling him that she was going to think about it and reply to him on a good day. That day never came.

This means both Fernando and his boss were tired of waiting for the so-called girls they were crushing.

“ Sir, I will advise you to look for another lady and forget about the other one, since she isn't ready to accept you.”

Fernando will always advise Mr. Lucas, and he will always reply,“ Why can't you also give up on the girl you have been dreaming of meeting?”

These question always ends their discussion, as no one was ready to give up on what he wanted.

One can't tell why these two gallant men were insisting on dating the ladies they know not if they will finally agree to their relationship when there are so many ladies out there.

Although, Fernando claimed he wanted to date because he also wanted to make the lady he was crushing on, his gym instructor, which will help him to reduce his weight.

Secondly, he wanted her because the lady Mr. Lucas was also crushing on also love sports.

They weren't twins, but they wanted women who did the same thing. What a fantastic combination.

Well, maybe they both passed through the same predicament, and they want to balance the equation.

It was almost evening and Fernando was sure that if he went out there, he might meet this lady who had captured his heart.

No doubt that evening was the best time for her walkout as it was the best time for everyone who was a sportsperson in AYR city to exercise, even though going home late was risky.

Fernando wanted to stay back in the shop, but he couldn't; he had to go out that evening in search of this lady. If he doesn't go today, he won't go again.

Without giving it a second thought, Fernando walked up to Mr. Lucas and said,“ Sir, I would need to go out this evening.”

“ Why?” Mr. Lucas asked.

“ I'm going to find my treasure because this is the best time to do that.”

Fernando explained as he buried his gaze on the ground. Although he said ‘ treasure’ but Mr. Lucas knew what he meant by that, he wasn't a child.

“ There's no way this can be possible,” Mr. Lucas declined his request.

“ But why? This is the first time I'm trying to go out of this shop to find something important.” Fernando was sad after hearing that because he could tell that Mr. Lucas wasn't joking after saying the statement.

“ Because I intend to go out too.”

“ But this is unfair. You have been the only one going out, yet you don't allow me to do equally the same. Why can't you just allow me for today?” Fernando pleaded.

Luckily for them, there was no customer in the shop at that moment, which guaranteed them to be exchanging words.

“ No amount of pleading will make me consider your request. Who do you want him to stay back in the shop?”

“ Alright, since that's how it is, then let's close the shop. Business for today is over.” Fernando advised with a serious tone.

Mr. Lucas paused for a few minutes as he glared at Fernando from hair to toe with disbelief.

“ How will you survive if we lock this shop this early?” Mr. Lucas finally spoke.

“ At least, we have sold enough for today. I think that can sustain us for almost a month.”

Mr. Lucas couldn't believe hearing such a thing from someone who eats ten times more than him, yet he wants them to lock the shop because of women.

The painful part was that they weren't into relationships yet. They were just hoping and praying to be accepted by the ladies, yet Fernando wanted them to starve in hunger.

After so much chattering, Mr. Lucas agreed for Fernando to go wherever he wanted to go as it was going to be his turn the next day.

Maybe it will be turned by turn so that no one will feel cheated, rather than locking up the shop.

With joy, Fernando set out to find his missing rib. He was determined to see her. No, he was eager to ask her to be his girlfriend.

He wore his sneakers and tight sporting trousers that extended to his ankle. He also wore a tight sleeveless and collarless red T-shirt.

Immediately he set his feet on the busy street, he began jugging as he scanned around if he would see this beautiful angel he was looking for.

Nevertheless, he never hesitated to ask where he could locate either a gym or a sporting field. That will guarantee him a chance to easily see her.

The only thing he wishes now is he shouldn't fall sick after this small exercise because his body system was allergic to it.

Judging from the stares on people's faces, he could tell that his body size was responsible for drawing this attention to himself.

He knew people were wondering how possible he could move this heavy body of his. Well, he wished he could decrease, but how? It was the solution he was searching for. The girl he once met.

Fernando was profusely sweating as he dragged his legs in the aisle as he fought the urge not to stop until he set eyes on this astonishing soul.

However, as he was about to give up and take a rest by sitting on the ground beside the street side which was occupied by so many shops, his eyes caught something very attractive.

He finally saw the lady he had been dying to meet. Although it was beginning to get dark as the sun was finally setting out, he was able to see her clearly.

The beautiful lady was jogging toward him with a headphone on her head and her gaze was fixed on the ground as she so much gave her attention to what she was doing.

Fernando immediately brought out his handkerchief and cleaned up the sweat on his face and composed himself.

Standing with his hands akimbo, he plastered a wide smile on his face as he memorized what he was going to tell her.

The lady almost ran into him as he hastily jumped into the road and obstructed her way.

She took off her headphone as she tried to react, but suddenly stopped after noticing the blubber-belly man standing before her. She had seen him somewhere, but couldn't remember where.

“ Hey,” Fernando waved at her.

“ Hi, how may I help you?” her voice echoed with a bit of harshness, but

Fernando cared less about her behavior toward him.

Stopping to answer his greetings was a blessing to him.

“ I-I…” Fernando paused and cleared his throat as he tried hard to hide his shyness.“ I'm Fernando, I believe you should know my face.” he finally found something to say.

The lady stared at the hand Fernando extended to her for a handshake, but she declined with a disgusting look on her face.

“ I'm sorry that I can't shake you, and I don't think I can remember your face. Although, your face looks familiar, but I can't recall where exactly I knew you.” her low, soft voice echoed.

Fernando chuckled with embarrassment as he pulled back his hand.

“ Well, where we met isn't that important. What matters is I want to know you. So, may I know your name please?”

“ I don't go around telling strangers my name, especially in a city like this where bad people are everywhere, looking for one thing to take advantage of you.” she declined with a grin.

Fernando knew so well what she was talking about. Of course, one needs to be extra careful in AYR city if one wants to live long.

Anyone who heard about what happened the previous week in AYR city around the T street axis, he doesn't need to be informed on how to mingle with people.

A lady was shot to death after a young, handsome man asked for her name. Immediately she told the young man her name, a bullet pierced through her forehead.

Who knows if they were sent to kill her by an unknown enemy who only told them her name?

The insecurity was rampant to even stop to discuss with a total stranger on the street.

After so much pleading, she finally opened her mouth and said,“ I'm Olivia by name, but that doesn't mean I trust you, that's why I told you my name. No. It's because of a certain reason best known to me.” she said.

Fernando sighed as he gazed at her petite body and chuckled.

“ I'm glad to know your name.” Fernando appreciated and went ahead to make more requests,“ can I have your contact please?” his cold voice whispered into her ears.

“ Huh? From name to my contact? What do you take me for? An easy-go-lady?” her tone suddenly changed and Fernando was unsettled.

He was asking more than he was supposed to.

“ Besides, what made you think I can give a muscle machine like you my contact? I'm not crazy!”

She spat angrily, and Fernando could feel her words penetrating his heart. He hated when people insult him this much without pity.

Silence reigned between them, and Fernando could tell that people around were staring at them as she used a high tone on him.

“ Listen, I didn't stop you just to receive insults from you.” he boldly responded and Olivia was a bit calm after seeing the seriousness on his face.

To avoid more troubles, Olivia hissed irritably as she walked past him to take her leave, so as not to exchange more words with this fool that called himself a man.

This is how to treat a troublesome person when they confront you. Rather than reacting, walk away, and they won't have any chance to hurt you.

Fernando turned around and saw Olivia walking away. As she was about to put her headphones on, Fernando called her attention.

“ Be my instructor and I promise to pay you fairly…” he announced and Olivia abruptly stopped in her tracks after hearing that and Fernando was stunned by her action.

She has been praying for such an opportunity and here comes one and judging from Fernando's body size, she believes she will earn a lot of money from him.

His appearance shows that he was rich. Very wealthy…!
