6 YOUR ELDER BROTHER NEED TO APPROVE IT

After the wedding which took place the previous day, Frank was stressed out to ask his assistant, Mateo, if he delivered what he was assigned.

Mateo, who happened to be Frank's assistant, had been waiting for his boss to summon him to ask about the assignment he was given.

He knew that Frank would need feedback if he was able to execute what he was assigned to do.

Immediately he was sent for, he knew what Frank was going to ask,

“ Did you kill him?" That's the only statement that was ringing in Mateo's mind.

On reaching the door, Mateo prayed to his creator that his boss shouldn't find out that he spared Fernando's life.

With shivering hands, he knocked on Frank's door, and Frank's voice echoed from inside the room like a whisper, but it was clear for Mateo to hear him.

Mateo slowly opened the door and stepped inside, and Frank signaled him to wait for a while without making any movement, which he did, and slowly closed the door behind him.

Frank ponderously raised the duvet on his body and removed his wife's hand from his hairy chest as she was heavily snoring with tiredness.

It was early morning and of course, she needed that sleep to get rid of whatever happened the previous day.

Although this very day was meant for their honeymoon; the couple never bothered about it.

Frank gently climbed off the bed like a thief who was trying to sneak into somebody's house.

He held Mateo by the hand and took him to the walk-in closet as he peered to see if his wife was awake.

After making sure that she was still sleeping, he went ahead to speak.

“ I hope everything went well without errors.” his voice came like a whispering.

“ Yes, boss. I did exactly as you instructed.” Mateo responded with a serious expression.

“ Good. How about his dead body? I hope you didn't leave it there because if you did, then be expecting the arrival of the police. They can do anything possible to catch you.”

“ I threw the body in the ocean beside the city where aquatic habitats can feed on.” He lied and Frank was pleased.

But after thinking for a second, Frank furrowed his brows at Mateo.

‘ I hope that I didn't say anything that will result in trouble.’ Mateo thought as he buried his gaze on the ground.

“ Mateo,” Frank called out suspiciously.

“ Yes, boss,” Mateo responded sharply, but with a low tone.

“ How did you manage to carry that heap of stones that called himself a human being?”

“ I…” Mateo paused as he thought of a better lie to feed Frank with.

Mateo also knew that Frank was a smart man and with the help of coming from a wealthy family, he can use his money in whatever way to know the truth about something.

“ You what?” Frank woke him up from his long thoughts.

“ I used one of your cars and with the help of the lady you conspired with, we wrapped him in a nylon fabric and put him inside the car before taking the body to the ocean.” Mateo finally responded, but Frank's glare almost made Mateo feel like the earth should open up and swallow him.

Silence reigned between them for what seemed like an eternity.

“ Mateo, should I trust you?” Frank finally broke the silence as he lowered his gaze to Mateo.

“ Trust me, boss. Never in my life can I lie to you. I have been working with you for years. That's why you trusted and handed over that job to me. And you know that I never disappoint.” Mateo stood on his words.

“ But don't you think that lady might expose us? I never wanted her to know about the killing. Doing such things with ladies can land someone into trouble.” Frank was troubled by that.

He only wanted the lady to lie that she was Fernando's mother and nothing more.

But as it is now, Frank was afraid that she might expose them if she isn't the type that keeps secrets.

“ Boss, you don't have to worry about her. Her mouth is zip, and it will forever remain silent.” Mateo assured him with a chuckle.

“ What do you mean by her mouth has been zipped?”

“ Well, it is no longer news that money controls ninety percent of ladies of this generation,” Mateo replied.

“ You mean, you paid her to keep silent?”

“ Exactly.”

“ How sure are you that she will remain silent?”

“As I said, you don't have to be worried, everything has been taken care of. Fernando is gone and he is gone forever.” Mateo reassured him, and Frank wore a wide smile on his face.

Frank suddenly turned to check on his wife; he froze and became speechless after setting eyes on her.

“ Ho…honey, when did you wake up?” he startled as he motioned towards her.

“ For the past few minutes,” she responded and his eyes widened.

‘ Does that mean she heard all our discussion? If she does, then I need to strictly warn her so that she won't say it to anyone.’ Frank thought inwardly.

He walked up to her and sat down on the bed and pecked her cheek, as she was still laying down, yet awake.

“ So you have been listening to our conversation all this while?” he asked playfully, but he was serious about it.

“ How would I hear when the both of you were whispering to each other? I don't think the conversation had anything to do with me, so I didn't bother to eavesdrop,” she answered, and Frank was glad.

Mateo, on the other hand, sighs in relief and nodded his head in satisfaction.

“ At least, she didn't hear our conversation, which means we are safe,” Mateo mumbled.

Frank smiled at her and then kissed her forehead.

“ Boss, am I free to go?” Mateo asked.

“ Sure, you are. And thank you for your time.” Frank replied with a smile and Mateo nodded before gesturing toward the door and exited.

It was noon, and Frank found it the best time to talk to his grandfather about what had been disturbing his peace of mind.

However, Frank and his beautiful wife, Sophia, went to the dining room and had their breakfast in the morning before going back to their room.

But they were yet to eat lunch, and they never bothered about it. They were newly married, and it all happened like a dream.

No dating or engagement; no meeting parents for any introduction. Their marriage just happened like that, and they weren't tired of rubbing their bodies against each other on the bed. They were so glued to each other as if they will never have issues in their marriage one day.

Nevertheless, that won't stop Frank from achieving his plan to sign his father's documents as the true heir.

On getting to the living room, Frank saw his grandfather reading some newspaper as he lay down on the couch.

“ Grandpa,” Frank called for his attention as he settled down on one of the cushions.

“ Frank, how are you and your wife?” the grandfather asked.

“ We are good,” he answered.

“ I can see that.”

Taking in his surroundings, he asked the house servants who were busy with one thing or the other in the living room to leave, and they all went out, leaving him and his grandfather.

“ Do you want us to discuss something?” the grandfather asked as he stood up and sat properly on the couch.

“ Yeah. Something important.”

“ Alright, I'm all ears.” his grandfather responded as he dropped the newspaper on the table before him.

Frank took a deep breath and sighs in relief.

“ Grandpa,” he called.

“ Yes…”

“ We all know that my father's documents contain the name of Fernando as the heir to his properties. But as fate has it, his mother came and took him away, which means everything is mine,” he explained.

“ I wish you won't mention his name again because I'm still shocked and disturbed that I won't set eyes on him again. Although this is a small world, and we might meet anywhere, I'm missing him so much.”

The grandfather grieved, and Frank could tell from his expression that the old man seriously missed Fernando.

‘ If only he knew that he would never set eyes on Fernando, then he wouldn't have been vomiting this trash.’

Frank thought in his mind as he had a smirk on his face. He wondered why his grandfather so much loved Fernando more than him.

“ I'm sorry that I mentioned his name, but I won't do that again,” Frank promised, and his grandfather nodded.

“ So, grandpa, when will you call my father's lawyer concerning the documents?”

“ Oh, that? I can do it right now. It isn't an issue.” his grandfather responded and took his phone.

On hearing that, Frank was overwhelmed with joy.

His grandfather called Mr. Frederick's lawyer concerning the documents, and he was stunned to hear what the lawyer said.

“ I pray that Fernando hasn't gone far.” the grandfather muttered.

“ Grandpa, what's wrong?” Frank curiously asked as he was unsettled by his grandfather's expression after the call.

“ You have to start looking for Fernando right away!” the grandfather announced with a commanding tone.

“ But why?”

“ The lawyer said, according to your father, no one can take away his properties from his first child, which is Fernando; unless Fernando agrees to let it, or he is dead.” the grandfather explained and Frank was lost.

“ Wait! You mean, until Fernando signs before the properties can be transferred to me?”

“ Exactly. Unless he is dead, that's when you can freely take over everything without anybody's permission.”

Frank was sorrowful after hearing that.

‘ How can I convince these people that Fernando is dead without going to jail? If they get to know that he was killed by my order, then I will die by hanging.’ Frank was lost.

‘ What have I done to myself? There must be a way out of this.’ he cried inwardly.

A way out? But how? Would there be any?

Fernando was the only solution here, and Frank needed to find him, or else his father's assets wouldn't be released to him.
