Eastbound

"Which bus are we getting on first?" Retha asked as she pulled out her mask and stared at it. It was now black with a golden 4. Dante spoke, "We get on the 73 to Summer Row then we go to the Dove Wester station. We go Eastbound to Bastion Mouth." Retha was satisfied with the answer and she pulled out her phone.

Dante pulled out his phone and started to type, 'Also when I return, I need my hammer back. Where is it?' The message when through but he wasn't expecting an immediate response so he put a headphone jack into his phone and started playing music. He was at ease.

They waited for the bus for around a minute before it pulled into the stop. The bus was nearly empty except for 3 or 4 passengers, they walked to the very back of the bus and sat down on the blue seats. The doors closed and the bus driver pulled out of the bus stop, the bus started to cruise down the bus lane. The bus got to the end of the road and stopped at a traffic light.

The light was red, then it turned amber then a green left. The bus turned as a stream of cars, trucks, and vans followed. Retha turned to Dante and asked, "Why are you doing this?" Dante swiftly turned and questioned her immediately, "Like why do you fight?" Dante sighed and really thought about her question. It was a question he had no answer for.

"I don't know," Dante responded, he wasn't lying or anything of the sort. He didn't know what he was fighting for, all he knows is to fight. But he had no reason. "Well, Dante, there is something that just doesn't sit right in all of us. It can be from, hatred or pain but it is something that is enough to make us feel it." Dante listened and he felt like speaking but he had no response.

"You may not feel it yet but it is there. We all have motivations for something. If you truly had no reason to fight you wouldn't be fighting now." Dante's eyes widen and he was about to speak but she shushed him. "The motivation may not be clear now but one day it will be clear." Dante thought about it but he just dismissed it.

He continued to listen to his music and he shut his eyes for a second. He was in his own mind with the beast of etah and he spoke, "You are not the beast of hatred, are you?" The beast laughed before it bellowed, "Of course not, I am the embodiment of 4 things, Dante. I embody hate, trickery, anger, and envy. I thought you were smart."

He opened his eyes, it was only a split second and Dante didn't know how to feel about the beast. He stood up as the best was pulling up into the Train Station's bus stop and the doors swung open and Retha and Dante stepped of the bus.
