Chapter twenty one

Kain's POV

We were standing in front of Anabel's grave. Cemented ground and moist loamy soil were all I saw.

"Isn't this a beautiful grave?" Sally's voice shook.

"Shhhh! Don't say a word, dear. This moment is sacred. I'm about to invoke the ghost of the late Anabel, so it would be best if you keep quiet, and let me do my thing without any disturbances.

She didn't wait for me to breathe another word to her, she moved farther away from me. I waited until she was many feet away from the grave, and then I squatted by the side of her grave, on the concrete floor.

"Anabel! Anabel! Anabel!" I chanted. My eyes were shut, my fists clenched, and my knees were on the concrete ground.

I could feel a vibration on my feet, I could feel something shaking beneath me.

The book instructed me not to open my eyes, no matter what happens. I kept my eyes shut, and my heart thumped.
