Aiden opened his eyes and saw a blurry figure approaching as he rubbed his eyes with his hands. "Hello, I see you’re finally awake, boy. Aiden, that’s your name, right?" said a feminine voice.

"Where am I?" asked Aiden, looking at his clothes, which resembled hospital attire. The figure moved closer, revealing a middle-aged woman with a surprisingly youthful face.

"Hello again; it seems you didn’t hear me. You must be confused about where you are. My name is Doctor Brenda, Brenda Swang," she said with a smile. "You have such beautiful hair; I’ve always wanted it to be that long." She briefly digressed but returned to the matter at hand when she noticed Aiden’s bewildered expression.

"Well, Aiden, may I call you that?" The boy nodded. "You were selected by this person standing next to me." Aiden shifted to look at a man slightly shorter than himself. "This is Doctor Richard Laos, a magnate in his field and the one in charge of this experiment."

Aiden’s face turned to panic as he wonder

One of the parts of the elevator that had fallen to the left crashed between two floors, cushioning the impact. Inside it was Eduard, protecting all the kids. At the last moment, he moved everyone behind him and pulled out a pair of large gloves from the bag he carried, making him look imposing like a gorilla. He used these gloves to shield them."Is everyone alright?" Eduard asked. Those with him got up, somewhat disoriented from the impact, and nodded in approval. With him were Lidia, Maria, Billy, Elena, and Podbe. Ah, and Elena, who had been thrown by her father into this spot. She said nothing; she was in shock about what she had witnessed: the loss of her father. She couldn’t believe it, could only stammer, and no words came out of her mouth. Tears began to run down her cheek to her chin, as if two rivers were connected.Eduard approached the girl, looked at her, and said: "Don’t feel bad, child. Losing someone is a process that takes time." She began

Podbe began to attack the two monstrous moles with fierce energy, while Lidia, along with the others, hurried to pull Eduard away from the battlefield. Each blow from the colossal creatures shook the hallway, breaking the walls and widening the surrounding space. Fortunately, the columns remained intact; otherwise, the ceiling would have collapsed on top of them, burying them under tons of rubble.Billy, always vigilant, approached the sign that read, “You are here,” with an arrow pointing to the second floor of the inverted pyramid. Upon closer inspection, he discovered that the laboratory was located on the seventh level. He looked at the others with urgency and said:—We need to go down to reach Aiden. However, everyone was absorbed in Podbe’s battle. Even Maria, who usually maintained a serious demeanor, couldn’t help but get distracted watching the little canine fight with bravery. Billy felt a pang of admiration as well, but quickly grabbed Maria by the hand to bring her back to

The other part of the elevator, which had been launched to the right, began spinning like an out-of-control top, colliding violently with every wall it hit and descending at great speed. Adia tried to stand up, but every time she did, she fell again due to the violent impacts of the apparatus against the surrounding structures. At one point, she began murmuring words as her staff started to glow with a faint but steady light. In a firm voice, she instructed those present to gather around her. The others, stumbling and struggling against the erratic movement of the elevator, managed to come together around her. She looked toward what appeared to be a door and threw a glowing card in that direction. Instantly, everyone began to fade away while the remains of the elevator continued spiraling downward. They were teleported directly to the door where Adia had thrown the card.“Are you all alright?” asked Adia, her voice filled with concern as she looked at the others.<

Ezequiel turned to Rino with a direct question:“How skilled are you at shooting?”Rino responded with pride, his stance firm and confident:“I’m the best in my class, sir.”Ezequiel pointed upward, where a cabin stood out among the shadows.“See that cabin up there? Apparently, that guy controls the monster that keeps regenerating. If you hit him, you’ll scare him, and he might lose control for a moment.”“Sure, sir. Yes, sir,” replied Rino, adjusting his position as he drew a compact pistol from behind his waist. It was equipped with a small sight, ready to carry out the order. However, Adia intervened calmly but firmly:“Wait. If you want to take out whoever’s up there, give me the gun.”Rino frowned, skeptical.“Do you even have precision, ma’am?”Adia smiled faintly, as if the question were unnecessary.“It’s not precision I need, but teleportation magic. I can end this game right now.”Rino hesitated, gripping the weapon tightly.“But don’t you need to see the location to use yo

Eduard shielded himself with his gloves, bracing for the impact. However, before he could react, the beings advancing toward them began to melt like wax under a scorching sun. The onlookers were astonished by the sight; it seemed they wouldn’t have to fight, or at least the battle would be easier than facing the moles. The room’s light shifted from blue to green in an instant, and a speaker emerged from the floor. A menacing voice boomed from it, laced with threats: “Intruders! What are you doing here? Leave now, or I won’t hold back. This is your final warning.” Maria tried to explain that they were only trying to reach the laboratory, located on the top floor of this inverted pyramid, because they needed to rescue their friend. The voice responded coldly: “There is no one here, and you will not leave this floor.” It then erupted into a thunderous laugh that echoed off the walls.Suddenly, the speaker disappeared beneath the f

The kids followed the cable to a kind of cabin hidden behind one of the columns. Suddenly, Lidia swiftly pulled out her weapon and attached a silencer. She carefully aimed at the door’s lock and fired, breaking it without making a sound. At that moment, when Podbe shattered the jaw the entity held in its right hand, the sphere on the creature’s head turned a deep red, signaling its fury. It began to advance rapidly, wielding the only jaw it had left in its left hand. Quickly, Podbe dodged it and used his ability again, destroying the entity’s last weapon. From inside Podbe, Reia announced: “Minus ten mana points, eighty remain.”Podbe wondered why the system hadn’t sent any alerts during the fight. Reia, however, had no answer to that question. The entity continued to move vigorously. “This isn’t over yet, boy,” warned Reia. Eduard, observing closely, thought the being’s power resided in the sphere on its head. He quickly stood up and signaled to Podbe to destroy the sphere, apparentl

Adia knew a little about the project from what Master Mike had told them, but the Metalux hadn’t mentioned anything about it.“Ah! I don’t know much about them either,” Gin responded, “but the only thing I do know is that they are beings with diverse powers. Possibly, the child they took has the power to reopen the other side and transfer that power to others.”“Like us?” Ezequiel interrupted curiously. “I thought those practices had disappeared when they dismantled Doctor Laos’s plans, and he died in the explosion at the Xerox company, though they never found his body.”“Ah! You’re referring to Doctor Emerson Laos, the pioneer, the creator of the Blue Door Project and Nebula, which were successful, unlike Project Odysseus, which they’re now reactivating because of his son, Doctor Richard Laos,” Gin commented."So the doctor had a son." When our friends were heading straight toward their final destination, something unexpected happened. The cart ended up falling directly into a pool. One of the sharks tore it apart with its teeth but found nothing inside. “How impossible!” exclaimed the voice in frustration. “Where are they? How could they have disappeared? When did they do it?”Everyone was precariously hanging from what appeared to be a kind of ledge. At the last second, before plummeting to what seemed like their doom, Podbe activated his detective ability and spotted that overhang on the ceiling. With a sharp bark and a penetrating gaze, he made Eduard understand what they needed to do. Eduard looked up at the ceiling and urgently instructed everyone: “Quick, grab onto me!”“What about Podbe?” asked Billy with concern.“He knows what to do,” Eduard replied confidently.Everyone clung to one another, forming a human chain: Lidia and Elena hung from Eduard’s waist; Maria and Billy from his legs; and Dani from one o

He destroys more and more structures, firing rays while holding Aiden trapped with one of his tentacles. The boy tried to break free, but it was useless; he screamed and struggled with desperation. He even managed to bite the tentacle, causing it to loosen slightly, but soon it tightened again and squeezed him with greater force. Before he lost consciousness, the guardian mentally told him: "It is still too early for you to die. You will not perish from a fall; you will have the privilege of being finished off by a guardian. You are valuable to that person, but dangerous to us." Aiden took his last breath, wondering who "we" were and if there were more of them, before passing out from the pressure of the tentacle.Meanwhile, the robots from Zeus's company, upon hearing the order given by the lead robot from t

The cocoon began to open slowly, revealing a strange and fascinating creature. First, horns resembling antennae emerged, attached to what appeared to be its head, followed by arms similar to those of a human. Finally, the rest of the body slid out of the cocoon with an almost hypnotic grace. Once the red light enveloping the cocoon had completely faded, the creature was fully exposed to everyone. It had a humanoid shape, but its head was adorned with two pincers that could initially be mistaken for antennae. Its face resembled that of a human, except for the nose, which had been replaced by a structure akin to that of an insect. Instead of a nose, it had bright red eyes with blue irises that seemed to burn like embers. Its body was covered with lion-like skin, and its hands had four long, slender fingers. Its feet ended in hooves, though they gave the impression of wearing shoes due to their natural design. On its back, a protective shell housed small insect-like wings, still motionle

Adia watched as the mysterious figure finished off the monster that had once taken so much effort for them to defeat in the past. In truth, they hadn’t managed to defeat it back then; they had only succeeded in sending it back through the portal. But who is he? He doesn’t seem human. Maybe he’s a monster too, Adia thought, her mind clouded by gaps in her memory. Her gaze slid over the dark armor that completely covered the stranger. Perhaps he hides his face because he knows no one could bear to look at it."Podbe, are you okay? I’ve got you, buddy," said Aiden as he carefully picked Podbe up from the ground. The dog mumbled Aiden's name, his voice weak but filled with determination. "That hit hurt," Podbe said through the link, looking up at Aiden with golden eyes that gleamed with a mix of pain and pride. "What are you doing here? Weren’t you trying to open that portal?" asked the dog. To which Aiden replied, "That doesn’t matter anymore. The guy destroyed the monster instantly."Bo

In the cave where Agent I-Five entered and from which he has yet to emerge, we encounter Xen, an artificial intelligence housed within a robot whose design resembles a metallic skeleton wrapped in armored plates. On a cold, rusted table, unable to move, lay the agent, with a helmet connected to a machine that looked like an old computer, as large as if it were an industrial server from another era. The air was thick with static electricity, and the constant hum of fans echoed off the damp walls of the cave."I still haven't found anything valuable; I'd better keep investigating," said Xen coldly as he observed the bound agent, his mechanical eyes glowing with a reddish gleam. "And I enjoy inflicting pain on others," he added with a frivolous laugh that resonated like scraping metal. As he continued to dig through the memories in the agent's brain, a shrill alarm shattered the silence. On the central computer screen, an alert appeared: the mutated creatures, known as the moles, had bee

I sensed it too." Aragon, his only friend, mentor, and confidant, was the only one who knew who hid behind that imposing armor. In a matter of seconds, Larot arrived at the battlefield. His obsidian-black armor gleamed under the dim light, and his great sword rested majestically on his back. Before him, an immense creature roared with ferocity. The dog stood in front of the beast because, after talking with Reia and Aiden without reaching an agreement, he decided to face it to save his new friends. Podbe stood tall with every hair on end, as if every fiber of his being was ready for battle. He repeated to himself mentally: "I can do this, I must protect them, or at least try. This cannot be the end.""Don't be stubborn, Podbe," warned Reia with a tone mixed with concern and frustration. "The system itself says you don’t have the strength needed to defeat it.""We can’t lose, right, Aiden? We’re the good guys," replied the canine, activating his hardness ability as he advanced toward the beast with fierce determination."What are we going to do?" asked the frightened children, watching as the enormous beast approached with gigantic steps that made the ground tremble beneath their feet.Eduard tried to calm Adia, who had curled into a fetal position after seeing that creature emerge. Laos, more excited about what might be on the other side, gently held her hand. Without further delay, they entered.Upon crossing to the other side, they found themselves in an awe-inspiring cave. Towering pillars of deep blue stood like celestial supports, while neon-blue lamps illuminated the walls. Ahead of them, a path snaked into the darkness. As they advanced, the candles in the area lit up automatically, casting dancing shadows on the walls. His blood pressure, neurons, and other organs, along with his immune system, were in complete turmoil, struggling to fight against them."Do you think the boy will hold up?" Swang asked Laos, naturally affirming her response. "This boy, according to the analysis, is one hundred percent an excellent test subject. One of his parents wasn’t part of my father’s experiments. Everyone present was protected by a crystalline shield that Adia had summoned at the last moment, a bright and vibrant force field.
