At first, the dog didn’t pay much attention to what Reia, the artificial intelligence, was trying to explain. He was more fascinated by the voice emanating from her and thought to himself, This is my voice. How crazy! I sound like an action movie actor... well, that’s what I think. It’s the first time I’ve ever spoken. He had many questions swirling in his mind, such as: Can other dogs talk? Where did you get this voice?
To the first question, Reia responded patiently: "No, other dogs can’t communicate like you. You’ll only hear barks." And to the second question, she added, "Well, I don’t know. When I searched my databases to update myself and understand you better, I discovered that this voice had already been embedded in my system as the only available option."
"Listen to me, puppy," she insisted. "I need to explain what the system inside you is. Please pay attention this time and don’t get distracted by anything."
The dog said to himself, I can do it. I’ll focus. I know I can concentrate. However, it was difficult for him because his curious nature made him excited by everything he saw or felt.
"Ouch! That hurt a little," he exclaimed, startled.
"It’s one of my functions as your assistant," Reia explained calmly. "I can send certain electrical impulses throughout your body. I do it to help you focus. I didn’t want to resort to this, but you left me no choice."
Once the dog had calmed down, Reia began to explain everything in detail. "As you know, my name is Reia, your assistant from the JORGS system, which has been integrated into you due to your compatibility with it."
The dog tilted his head, intrigued. "What is JORGS? Is it something to eat?"
"No, puppy, it’s not for eating," she replied, slightly annoyed.
"But even though they gave me something to eat, I’m still hungry," he responded innocently.
Reia sighed mentally before continuing. "JORGS is an advanced system endowed with powers that we could call, in simple terms, extraterrestrial and mystical, fused within you."
She paused to make sure the dog was paying attention and continued: "JORGS has been used for countless generations to preserve order and balance in the world. However, it has never fallen into the hands—or rather, the paws—of someone like you before. This is the first time this has happened to me. I’ve always been the guide for great heroes who have carried this system with pride. The downside is that every time a cycle ends, I lose some valuable data until the user unlocks all its functions. Its acronym stands for Justice, Order, Gratitude, and Service, and its purpose is to bring hope and support to those who need it."
Meanwhile, Marie called the workers who were still searching the area. They informed her that, unfortunately, they hadn’t found anything matching the description or image of the requested artifact.
"It’s not possible," Marie muttered to herself, frustrated. "Where did you leave the artifact, Nick? You gave your life to find it. It has to be somewhere." In her mind, she went over the possibilities. "Keep looking. Use any tools available to track down a clue. I’ll also go to the site, of course, if the boss gives me permission again." Hearing this, the boss raised a finger in approval.
We returned to the dog and Reia. The artificial intelligence continued explaining the functions of the system, though occasionally she had to send small electrical impulses to get his attention, as the dog tended to get easily distracted.
"It seems like you were almost out of strength and energy before, but after acquiring the system, you were revitalized as if you’d been reborn. Look at this screen." Suddenly, a holographic interface appeared before the dog’s eyes, displaying a series of data: animal type, age (seven months). "Wait, seven months?" he asked, surprised.
"In dog years, it’s different. It’s like multiplying human years by seven, if you want to calculate it," Reia explained patiently. "Level zero—yes, this level exists—zero points in strength, zero points in vitality, zero points in intellect, zero points in perception, one hundred health points, and one hundred mana points. Apparently, you need to increase these stats to unlock special abilities and access new functions."
"I see," the dog responded, though in reality, he didn’t understand much. However, he tried to focus because he knew that otherwise, he’d receive another little shock. "Well, the first thing we need to do is get out of here." At that moment, a message appeared on the screen: Escape from the cage and flee the pound. Reward: Instant level-up.
"And how am I supposed to open this cage?" The dog said, dismayed. But before he could think of anything, dawn broke, and he saw the veterinarian enter—a tall man in his forties, with cinnamon-colored skin, curly hair, and brown eyes behind thick glasses. His appearance inspired trust, but there was something bittersweet in his tone.
"So, these are the new tenants," the veterinarian commented as he checked the cages. "Alright, ER and Timmy, bring them in for their check-ups. Remember, today is the ‘Adopt a Friend’ campaign day, and I hope all these little ones can find a home. I don’t want to have to send them to the canine Valhalla." Then, glancing at one of the cages, he added, "Alright, who’s first? Maybe that little one," referring to our protagonist.
The dog was taken to the examination room. When he saw the veterinarian pull out a syringe with an enormous needle, he thought in panic: I’m terrified of sharp objects, and thank goodness I’m a dog because I don’t fully understand what’s happening. On the outside, all that could be heard were frantic barks and whimpers like "yip, yip." Desperate, he began struggling and moving quickly until he finally managed to break free from ER’s grasp. He ran as if his life depended on it. "These people are crazy; I don’t like those sharp things!"
ER and Jimmy ran after the dog, but he managed to evade them for a few moments, leaping over boxes, knocking them to the ground, dodging tables, and tipping over chairs with his frantic movements. He spotted a door and ran toward it. "I see it says 'exit,'" the dog thought, though Reia had to confirm it for him since, as they say, dogs see everything in shades of gray (though this dog seemed to have slightly better vision). Fortunately, someone opened the door at just that moment, giving him the perfect chance to escape. He kept running for a few blocks until he finally hid among the trash bins outside a house.
Mike, the veterinarian, tells ER and Jimmy, "Bring him back, but don’t hurt him. I just want to give him a vaccine and run some tests."
"Phew! I barely escaped from those crazy people," the dog thought as he caught his breath. "And now where do I go? I don’t know this area... I guess my sense of smell will guide me." Before he could move, Reia intervened: "Congratulations; you’ve completed the quest and leveled up. You’re now level one and have one point to assign to your abilities."
But before he could celebrate, ER appeared in the area. Despite being slightly overweight and nearing fifty, he moved with agility, though he was a bit out of breath from the effort. He practiced cycling on his days off, which gave him some physical endurance. On the other hand, Jimmy arrived after him, almost out of breath despite being younger and thinner, as he didn’t engage in any physical activity.
"Position yourself on the other side of the bins," ER ordered Jimmy. Carefully, ER lifted the trash bins and discovered the hidden dog. He grabbed him quickly from behind, capturing him before he could escape again. Once caught, he took him back to the veterinary clinic, where Mike already had a sedative prepared to perform exams without issues, such as taking blood samples and administering the vaccine.
"Puppy, puppy, oh no! Don’t fall asleep," Reia said worriedly as the effects of the sedative began to take hold.
"I think I overdid it with the dose, but well, he’s a healthy and strong puppy; nothing’s wrong with him," Mike commented as he finished organizing the medical tools. It was already nighttime, and the dog was half asleep in his cage, struggling against the drowsiness.
"Wake up, host," Reia urged insistently.
"Ah! It’s you," the dog murmured sleepily. "What happened? I thought it was all a dream. Apparently, it wasn’t, and I really can talk... Everything about the system is true."
"Speaking of which, you have a point. Which ability do you want to assign it to?" Reia asked.
"Maybe strength," he replied, still somewhat groggy.
"Alright, strength it is," Reia confirmed.
"Well, you should have more strength now," she said with satisfaction.
"Yeah, but I’d rather keep sleeping. I feel a bit sluggish. Maybe we can try again tomorrow. Remember, tomorrow is the adoption fair," the dog commented, surrendering to the drowsiness.
"Yes, we have to get out tomorrow, no matter what, or you’ll have to face the canine Valhalla," Reia said with concern.
"Ah, that’s right... But tomorrow will be another day," the dog murmured before falling into a deep sleep, succumbing to the lingering effects of the sedative.
Reia, unable to get any more responses from the dog and exhausted from so much talking, decided to enter a state of rest until the little animal woke up again.

In a place far from the pond, still cloaked in the darkness of night, the moon shone in all its splendor, casting its silvery light over the landscape. It contrasted sharply with the dimmed streetlights, which seemed to surrender to the majesty of the starry sky. In this setting, an orphanage with a baroque structure could be seen, resembling ancient cathedrals or castles. It was the Orphanage of the Sisters of the Sun Order, nuns dedicated above all to sheltering orphans from across the country—both girls and boys alike—without distinction. For years, they had carried out this noble mission with devotion. The orphanage survived thanks to donations, its own activities, and government subsidies. However, maintaining such an old and grandiose building was costly. At first glance, the place had five or six floors, with an imposing front door and a rear entrance that led to a spacious recreational area. There, the children played soccer, volleyball, and other sports, enjoying moments of f
Agent's Dog System 5.The Train of Emotions
We returned to the train, which was already in motion. Aiden remained unconscious in one of the carriages, lying on the floor next to Podbe, which surprised both Reia and Podbe himself."He’s not waking up," said Podbe in a worried tone, his golden tail swaying slowly. "I think we scared him when he heard my voice in his head.""I think so too," replied Reia with a gentle, reassuring smile as she approached him. "Animals on this planet don’t usually communicate with humans except through sounds or gestures, like your barking, for example.""I see, that’s why it had such a strong impact on him," Podbe responded, tilting his head to one side as he observed the unconscious boy. "Or maybe he fainted from hunger."Reia gave him a few soft pats on the back, as if to calm him down."It’s alright, don’t get so nervous, I understand. But I don’t know what could have happened to him."Meanwhile, in Aiden’s mind, everything was confused. He found himself in a space—or rather, an endless white ex

We returned to the train tracks, where only the great freight train could be seen, derailed by the violent impact. This train transported various materials within the country and to neighboring nations: firewood, steel, precious materials, and other essential goods. It was an impressive train, with twelve cargo cars and five operators who worked in the engine cabin, located in the first car.“Are you guys okay?” asked Reia in a worried but firm voice.“The grass on this side cushioned the fall,” the two men responded almost in unison, though their voices betrayed a hint of confusion.Aiden’s pants were torn at the knees, as was his vest, revealing a few bruises and bumps from the violent fall.As the scene unfolded, it occurred to me that I hadn’t yet shared some important details about the characters and setting. Let me take a moment to paint a clearer picture for you. Aiden, on the day he ran away, was dressed in a striking red vest, a fitted black polo shirt, worn-out jeans, and sp

It was a new day in Styria, Austria. In one of the picturesque towns of this region, the great sun rose majestically in the sky, though the crisp autumn air still lingered, slowly dissipating the moisture left by the rain from the night before. The leaves of the trees were beginning to transform, painting the landscape with golden, reddish, and ocher tones, as if nature itself wanted to celebrate the arrival of a new season. At the Order of the Sun orphanage, all the children were called for breakfast, a morning ritual that marked the start of their studies within the cozy facilities. In a room with five beds, each crafted from sturdy oak wood, the single-sized mattresses were covered with immaculate white sheets. Each bed had a somewhat firm pillow and a warm blanket that offered comfort during the chilly autumn nights. Four of the beds held children sleeping soundly, but the fifth was empty. Aiden was no longer there. His friend Billy, always resourceful, had placed a few pillows

A telephone began to ring repeatedly, breaking the silence of the room with its insistent tone. Someone picked up the receiver and answered:“Hello, Marie, how are you? How’s everything going?” said a familiar and friendly voice from the other end.“Mr. B, how are you? We need your support to solve a case,” Marie replied, her tone tinged with urgency, though she tried to keep it subdued.“Ah! I see. Although I was on break, I’ll make an exception for you and for my former pupil, Agent B Twelve. So, you heard about what happened,” he responded, maintaining a calm but curious tone.“Yes,” Agent B replied, his voice firm and decisive.“Good, I’ll help you. Where are you?” he asked, ready to take action.“In Styria, Austria,” Marie responded without hesitation.“Ah! Perfect. I’m nearby, in Vienna,” he said enthusiastically. “I’ll put on my uniform and head over. I’ll be there in an hour. Send me the exact location. See you soon.”Agent B hung up the phone. At that moment, the silhouette o

As they walked under the flickering light of the lantern Aiden carried, Podbe and he wondered who that mysterious person could be who had taken possession of the artifact in which Reia traveled. It was a mystery that tormented them, but they had no way to answer it; not even Reia knew. The images they had glimpsed were blurry, and the figure of the person remained shrouded in shadow.“Hey, hold on a second!” exclaimed Podbe in his high-pitched but friendly voice. “Aiden, don’t those little wounds hurt? Plus, your clothes are… well, let’s say they’re still fashionable, though they’re torn to shreds. Let’s stop by that spring so you can at least clean those wounds and keep them from getting infected. And no, I’m not joking, although they say dog saliva can heal them.”Aiden smiled faintly as he approached the crystal-clear water. He bent down to wet his hands and wash the red marks streaking his skin. “Well, I think with all the adrenaline running through my veins, I didn’t feel anythi
Agent's Dog System 10.Ten Deliveries
The two left the house somewhat puzzled by Adia’s last comment, but in the end, they had made the decision themselves, and therefore, they had to fulfill what was asked of them. “Well, a deal’s a deal,” they said in unison, with a mix of resignation and determination.Another concern that weighed on them was why, now that Aiden was about to reach level four, his progress was advancing so slowly. “I wonder if things will be like this from now on,” Aiden commented, frowning as they walked.Reia intervened then, explaining that she didn’t have a clear answer either. However, on the screen that only Podbe could see (and which Reia described in detail to Aiden), it indicated that one hundred experience points were needed to level up. The three fell silent, deep in thought, but since they still didn’t have an answer to this great mystery, they decided to set it aside for the moment and focus on finding the delivery points.“I can’t see anything,” Aiden murmured, squinting as he tried to m

While our heroes slept soundly, worn out from their deliveries, Agent B revealed that, thanks to his special ability, he had managed to glimpse a small, dirty animal, shaped like a dog, that had been with Agent B-Twelve at the moment a flash struck them. Later, the canine was taken away by a municipal pound worker. Perhaps that’s the key. Everyone present was left puzzled by Agent B’s words. At that moment, Marie checked her tablet to see how many nearby pounds there were in the area and began searching. Everyone present on Paul and Vera’s ship began donning dark camouflage suits, adjusting their weapons and accessories with precise and methodical movements. The atmosphere was thick with tension but also determination.“In the end, we had to go with Plan B. We should have done it from the start,” Paul muttered as he finished equipping himself with the last of the mission gear. His voice carried a barely concealed tone of frustration, as if internally grappling with the feeling of having lost control of the situation.Meanwhile, at the orphanage, night slowly descended upon the building. The director, known to all as the Mother Superior, stood before the children, who were gathered in perfectly aligned rows. With her characteristic serenity, she spoke the phrase that always accompanied their nightly farewells:“Everyone has the opportunity to have a new beginning. Lieutenant Paul Fernandez drove alongside his team toward the location of the orphanage where Aiden had come from. The ship that transported them landed at the designated spot. With a metallic hiss, the door opened slowly. Paul stepped out with firm strides, closely followed by a companion whose face had also been altered thanks to Lady’s advanced technology. It was a crisp morning, around ten o’clock, with a clear sky promising a sunny day. Both were dressed in outfits designed to make them look like an ordinary couple, disguised as people eager to adopt a child. Their vehicle, a modest but well-maintained blue van, stopped in front of the main entrance. Paul, who was behind the wheel, rolled down the window and addressed the gatekeeper in a friendly tone:“We’re here to complete an adoption,” he explained, though his expression quickly shifted from cordial to serious, almost irritated, when the man asked if they had an appointment. The woman, sensing Paul’s sudden change in demeanor

The team Melisa was traveling with dropped her off at her house, along with Creg and Ian. The three of them got out of the helicopter, but not before bidding farewell to the professor and his companion. They made their way into Melisa’s apartment. She opened the door and said,“Well, guys, feel free to take whatever you want from the kitchen. I’m going to take a shower after being in all that dust. If you’d like, there’s also a guest bathroom downstairs, and I think there’s some of the clothes you left last time, Creg. Ian, you can use the clothes my brother doesn’t wear anymore; they’re about the same size as yours. It’s down that hallway.”Melisa went upstairs to shower, while the other two, driven by the hunger left by their adventure, began to eat, though Creg ate more than Ian. Afterward, they took turns showering and changing.Meanwhile, Melisa had finished showering and was drying her hair with the blow-dryer. She looked in her closet and began searching for her special outfit:

"I have the perfect place," Doctor Laos said with a calculating smile. "Since these children are orphans, we can start with the orphanages. What was the name of the one Aiden and his group came from? Ah, yes... the Order of the Sun."Zeus nodded in satisfaction."Excellent. That way, no one would suspect a thing. Who's going to stand up for a bunch of orphans?" he added with disdain. "You're a genius."He rose from his seat, his tone firm as he continued."I'll send my men to work while you, with Lady’s team, prepare this place for large-scale Metalux production."Doctor Laos frowned, intrigued."And how do you plan to do that, boss?"Zeus flashed a malicious grin and replied casually,"If things go smoothly, I’ll have them adopted. But if it takes too long... I'll have to use plan B."His eyes gleamed with a sinister light before he turned and left.Richard, the doctor, wasted no time contacting Lady to coordinate the restructuring of the facility. “Doctor Laos, we have arrived,” announced one of the soldiers accompanying them on the ship.“Excellent. Take these four containers and tell my team to prepare them; they’ll know what to do. And, soldier,” the doctor added with a severity that made the man tremble, “be extremely careful with the contents. They are extremely fragile. If anything happens to them, you will know the fury of our lord Zeus.”The soldier swallowed hard and nodded with a rigid movement of his head, hurrying to take the four containers away on a cart. These containers, resembling polarized capsules, held the four kidnapped youths.“Where are we, Doctor?” Swang asked.“Ah, that’s right, you don’t know this place. It’s a secret base known only to high command. This place is the most important to me. This is where it all began,” Doctor Laos said as he walked off the ship, followed by Doctor Swang, who watched him with a furrowed brow and a thoughtful expression. What does he mean, ‘where it all began’? She wonder

There's no room for anyone else here. We're already cramped, and Mark is squeezed in with you.Azulema let out a light laugh before responding:—Relax, girl, we'll figure it out. Don't get all worked up, or you'll get wrinkles.Leila frowned, feeling somewhat offended, and replied:—I'm not upset, and I'm not getting wrinkles... am I?Rosa, who was sitting nearby, glanced quickly and said with a mischievous smile:—No, although you're starting to look a bit like a raisin.—Really? —Leila asked incredulously.—It's just a joke —Ada chimed in, trying to stifle a laugh.Rosa and Ada burst into laughter at Leila's offended expression, who muttered something unintelligible while crossing her arms and looking out the window.—Alright, girls, we've arrived. Once the quest was completed, and they had regained some composure, the team began to leave the TV set, carefully packing the machine's parts into each backpack. Mark, ever the gentleman, held the door open for everyone. The girls thanked him with smiles, and their boss, with a more affectionate gesture, pulled his cheeks while affectionately exclaiming: — "That's my Marky! Let's return to the ship."—"But the ship is far away," Margaret interjected with some concern.Azulema, undeterred, responded energetically: — "Well, what better time to start our physical training than by walking there? Inside the ship where the Zeus team was traveling, one of the guards noticed something strange. One of the injured, who had been motionless just moments ago, now seemed hypnotized, his eyes fixed on a broadcast playing on one of the monitors. The guard, curious, was also captivated by the screen.Zeus, who happened to be passing through the area at that moment, noticed the scene. At first, he called out to the guard to get his attention, but he didn’t respond. Frowning, Zeus decided to approach directly to snap him out of his trance.Just as he was about to look at the monitor, he felt a tug on his arm. When she put on the helmet, Leila felt a force pressing down on her as she tried to concentrate and not lose her emotional balance. Sheila and Martha watched her from a distance, looking a bit more composed, saying: — "Oh no, now our time has come. Surely, with this, we'll get fired and bring down the agency," they said resignedly, because there was nothing they could do about it. With the helmet on, Leila could hear the voices and minds of all the people, even her teammates, who were also wearing visors and suffering greatly from the machine's power, which was draining their energies more intensely than before. Inside her, she began to tell herself: — "Come on, concentrate, relax." A memory came to her mind, in which she heard: — "Leila, transform the pain into happiness, relax, pay more attention to what surrounds you. Don't let your power consume you; it's yours and part of you, use it" —she remembered her boss, Azulema, teaching her to control her power. Azulema knew that Leila's
