Shana finally managed to calm Cliff down after many attempts and efforts.

But before she did, when she had gone to where Cliff was enjoying his alcohol to beg his forgiveness, Cliff had been so enraged by a word she said that had prompted him to throw Shana's cell phone against the wall, causing the phone to completely break apart.

So, after they made up, Cliff realized that he had gone too far which was why he decided to buy the latest phone for her.

Perhaps, it might be a coincidence or fate. The cell phone store they had chosen happened to be the same one Alex had likewise chosen, so right now, the two parties could be seen staring at each other.
