The now rising sun, emits its morning light which reflects on the familiar metallic structure on Jimin’s chest. He grins confidently as he emerges from the building, the technology on his body causing his brown coloured aura and body to grow. “What is that?” Kate asked as she stands up from her crouch position and Felix glanced at her as he responded. “A breaker. It’s a device used to increase the energy output of a tron.” Felix’s eyes narrowed at Jimin who grins evilly as he stops, some veins protruding on his face. Felix thought to himself, noting the single broken symbol on the device. “Sir!” Jimin turns to his remaining guards stationed on the field and smiles before turning back to Felix. “It’s over, Hell Scorpion. Surrender now and I might have mercy on you too. Maybe even let you join my ranks.” Jimin said. “Drop the bluffs, Jimin.” Felix scoffed at Jimin with hands on his hips. “You’re at best an A rank threat. Since you’r
About a week before Felix and Kate arrived at Bullet Haven and some kilometres from away from the town, a worn-down orphanage stands in the middle of a peaceful snowy field with a small forest towards the back of the building. Several children from different races run around the thin road in front of the orphanage playing in the snow in the cold evening when the sound of a horse startles them. “Out of the way, children.” A young nun riding a cart pulled by a horse said and the children quickly moved out of the way as she stops in front of the orphanage. “Home sweet home.” She sighed and she dismounted from the cart where two other sisters got off with one middle-aged woman with them.As the ladies opened up the cart to bring out their new supplies, one of the back wheels of the cart gives out, causing the cart to dip suddenly… just as a hand grabs it.One of the sisters sighed in relief and turned to the figure holding the heavy cart up. “Thank you, dear.” She said. The young light-
Throughout the day, Alana spent her time doing her normal duties while also interacting with Levi.Explaining some things which he had forgotten, recalling certain good memories with him and just hanging out. And after seeing Levi so…free from his past made her wish in her mind. Maybe this is the best option.Maybe she should never tell him. Maybe she should just bury his life as a tron, the Index, the Web, her betrayal, everything.Maybe they should just live like this for the rest of their life. They should just get married, maybe have some kids and live as much as they can until the day the chaos of the world catches up to them. That night, after dinner, Alana was brushing her hair at the dresser when Levi looked up from his band interface and speaks.“Hey, Alana. I’m curious…” She looks at him through the mirror and makes an attentive sound. “Have we ever…” He makes a hand gesture with a thumb moving through a hole made by two fingers and Alana laughs.“Yeah. We ‘may’ have done it
As the Hornet men flee the orphanage with their horses, one of them who was hiding in the bushes, calls out to them. “Guys! Guys!” But their fear keeps them moving forward without a single glance. The young man cursed under his breath before turning back towards the orphanage where the captain’s horse was still attached to the fence. He gulps as he walks back to the orphanage where he quickly raised his arms in surrender. “Don’t hit-” “Levi!” He looks up to see that no one was focused on him, instead they were all focused on Levi who suddenly shoots out lightning from his body. “Levi!” Alana shouted to him but he remains on his knees, hands clutching his aching head and pain radiating through his body. Using the distraction, the guy quickly moves to untie the horse but fumbles with the knot as his eyes stay glued on Levi’s whose body light up the dark environment around him. “Levi!” Even though Alana was shouting at the top of her lungs, the only thing he could perceive was wh
As Levi runs back towards the orphanage, another explosion was heard with smoke rising from the distant structure and he curses under his breath. He thought as he draws out his energy and pumps his legs to make himself faster until his static shell instinctively activates, causing him to nearly crash as his speed increases dramatically, enough to throw off his cloak entirely. “Okay?” He mumbled in partial confusion as he speeds through the forest and heads for the orphanage.Meanwhile, back at the orphanage, a group of Hornet members stand before the sisters and children cowering in fear with their home burning on one side behind them. The captain of the men steps forward, a gun in his hand and a killer look in his eyes. “Where are the trons?” He scoffed at Theresa who presses a cloth into the bullet wound on Eliza’s shoulder and glares at him.“I told you. They left.” Theresa said.Eliza grunts before speaking. “We…don’t know… where they are.”“But you took them
“Alana!” Levi shouted out as Alana’s body disappears into the hole created in ground which closes a second later. His body rolls against the hard ground but he quickly leaps off it as another hole forms on where he was. “Damn it.” He grumbled as several stony spikes suddenly erupted towards him but using his static shell, he quickly and skilfully avoids each of them before sliding to a stop several feet away. He grits his teeth when he sees the boulders and stones begin to combine again. Levi thought as he watches as the boulders continue to come together with a familiar gem at the centre of its chest before being covered up with more rocks.Within seconds, a familiar golem appears and it begins to laugh evilly.“Did you really think this was over, ghost?” It said with its eyes fixed on Levi who grits his teeth before gasping, causing his static shell to fade away when he sees a small figure in one of its hands.“Alana!” Alana grunts as she strains again
Almost 20 minutes after the fight with the golem, Alana was at the edge of the broken building, searching for salvageable items when she senses a figure appear behind her.“Feels like you’re avoiding me.” Alana bites her lip as she turns around to face Levi standing with hands in his pockets, his face now stern and serious.“Levi-”“What happened that day, Alana?” Levi asked, cutting her off and she breaks eye contact. “I should be dead.” Alana turns around, arms wrapped around herself and after staring at her for a moment, he quickly recalls that day and the pain he went through. He approaches Alana with a frustrated expression as he speaks again. “What happened? Alana!” He grabs her shoulder and she spins around with a similarly frustrated expression.“You died, Levi!” Levi flinches when he sees the tears streaming down her face. “You…” She trailed off as she began to sob into her hands and Levi hesitates to comfort her with a hug.Despite knowing that she shouldn’t, Alana doesn’t h
With the still morning sun now shining down on the remains of the orphanage, the nuns and children help arrange the salvageable items into their cart when Alana and Levi approached them, both wearing a new set of clean clothes and their cloaks on their shoulders. Theresa nods at Eliza who moves to help the children board the cart before turning to the two. “You two look nice.” Theresa said.Alana and Levi share a quick smile before turning to the cart where a boy began to cry after hitting his hand on the cart. As Eliza comforts him, Levi speaks, getting Theresa’s attention. “I’m really sorry about all this.”Theresa chuckles softly before placing her hand on his shoulder. “Those evil men would have eventually destroyed the orphanage regardless of your actions.”“But-”Theresa suddenly slaps his arm with a motherly glare. “Enough of that. You did what you thought was right and here we are.” She said as she gestures to the others and Levi stares at them. “We’re all alive because of yo
