Chapter Fifty-Six

“Mr. Lorenzo, you have been taking too much leave. It’s becoming obvious.” Stella followed Lorenzo as they walked in the hallway.

They were heading to the ER after getting instruction from the medical director. Lorenzo tucked his hands into his pocket and faced her.

“It’s none of your business as long as I don’t miss my appointments, right?” He curled his lips and she scoffed in annoyance rolling her eyes.

“Well, you have to reduce it.” She placed a hand on her hip. “Professionalism and time management, that was what was in your resume before you were accepted.” Stella reminded him curtly and he smirked, clicking his tongue.

“You are wrong sweetie, your mother also had another reason for accepting me.” He said, rubbing his chin. She sighed heavily, staring at him intently.

“Which is?” She swallowed hard as curiosity danced in her eyes.

“We are busy, aren’t we?” He shrugged as he left into the emergency ward.
