Chapter Fifty-Two

Madam Harriet came down stairs on a phone call, she was already dressed in a black long glittering dress and silver heels. She pushed her hair backward and pursed her lips.

“I’m heading there now. It’s time to get some burdens off.” She rolled her eyes. “He has stayed for a couple of months for someone who is innocent, besides I’m about to buy his hospital so he is left with nothing.” She smiled brightly. “He will remain that dumb useless son-in-law that I once knew.” She laughed loudly, feeling excited that everything was going the way she wanted it.

“Mum?” Stella stared at her mother intently, it was as if she heard her mother’s conversation.

“Let - - let me call you back.” The call ran into a beep and Madam Harriet looked at her daughter, trying not to look suspicious.

“Yes, why are you still at home?” She raised a brow.

“I - I forgot a file at home so I came to get it.” She stuttered. “I heard your conversation, are you going to prison to release that jerk?” Stella asked anxiously
