Chapter Thirty-Six

“Mr. Richester, you are under arrest for burning down Mandela hospital.” The detective flashed his identification card at his face before taking out the handcuffs. Beside him were two other officers.

“What? I don’t know what you are talking about.” Richester shook his head as he looked at Raymond.

They were in his office but the door was opened which drew few eyes of staff that were passing.

“You must remain silent, else whatever you say will be used against you at the court of law.” The detective handcuffed him no matter how hard he struggled. “You have the right to own a lawyer for defense.” He added as he tugged him off, trying to drag him out of his office.

“Look here, I don’t know what you are saying. I never burnt down their hospital.” He continued protesting as they took him to the precinct.

Raymond called Richester’s lawyer immediately, informing him about the emergency before following them to the station.
