Chapter Twenty-Nine

“Zoey.” He stood from the seat and it made a clunking sound. Amanda rolled her eyes from Richester back to Zoey. “I never knew you would be here.” He said.

“Yeah, I just rounded up a business meeting with a client. And you, what are you doing here?” She asked, batting her lashes. She narrowed her eyes then locked with Amanda, she almost gasped.

“Miss. Amanda?” She quickly sat on the available seat and adjusted close to Amanda who was staring at her in confusion.

“Do I know you?” Amanda asked cryptically.

“Not really--” Zoey gritted her teeth shamefully and Richester cleared his throat, the both women faced him.

Staring at his crush and heart throb, it was hard for him to make a decision neither was he ready to get on their bad side.

“Amanda, meet Zoey.” He began nervously. “She has been meaning to meet you.” He rashly introduced them, and the both women exchanged warm pleasantries by smile and handshakes.

“Oh, nice to meet you Zoey.” Amanda nodded.
