“You know I have no reason to be here.” He snorted as he reluctantly sat on the comfy couch.

“Do you have a choice?” Mateo curled his lips, giving him a cold stare.

“Why did you call me?” He questioned anxiously after a brief pause. The waitress walked to their table and placed cups of coffee on their table, she bowed and left.

“There is something serious we need to discuss about.” Mateo dragged his couch closer, it made a slight clanking sound. Rather than interrupting, he raised an anxious brow.

“My mother knows what you are about to do, she is pairing with Madam Felicia and another to get back at you.” Mateo spilled bluntly and he smirked, looking astonished.

“You are her son, the so-called drunkard son with no future. Why are you telling me this? Why are you ruining your mother’s plan?” He asked seriously, staring at him with anxiety lingering in his eyes.

“Because I’m not interested in their games and I’m tired of being used and dumped,” Mateo complained angrily.
