Brad made sure Sophia had entered the club before he walked back to his car. His phone rang suddenly.

It was David.

He entered the car and picked it up.

Nick looked at him, “Can we leave?” He mouthed.

Brad nodded once and pulled the phone away from his ear for a moment. “Yes, move,” he ordered and placed the phone on his ear again.

“Hello Brad,” David said into the receiver.

“Hi. I'm sorry for not getting back to you since morning.”

“Oh, it's ok. We should have called too but we had to meet Mr. Badmus in his office. He sent for us,” David explained.

“Oh? Why?” Brad feigned ignorance.

“Thank you! I'm so happy for that question. Even now, I'm still so shocked. I have no idea what could have happened. You can't believe that Mr. Badmus changed his mind? He pardoned us and said we could sit for his exam.”

“Really?” Yet again, Brad feigned ignorance. “He really said that?”
