Chapter 22: The huge commission

Brad arrived home in few minutes later. Actually, he lied about the assignment. He had already finished them but had to use that as an excuse to leave the restaurant.

He didn't blame the girls anyway. They were only trying to protect themselves. Being branded as a friend of the thief is not something good.

His phone rang suddenly. It was Maxwell. He picked it up.

"Hello, Maxwell."

"Yes boss, I've settled everything," he informed him. "In fact, the president of BAS will drop an apology post for you to clear the public. And I've also ordered any contradicting posts to be brought down from StreamRoll," he explained.

Brad released a relieved sigh. "Good, thank you."

"I promise to be vigilant next time boss," he promised.

"Alright, Maxwell. I will be counting on that," he hung up.

On second thought, Brad decided to leave the house. It was boring anyway without his friends at home and he had nothing he wanted to do.
