Chapter 71: Astonished

"Brad stopped suddenly when he realized that Ned wasn't moving.

The crowds have gathered now but no one made a move to rescue Ned. Well, they were around too when Ned's men were harassing Sophia.

It was as if they were scared of Ned.

He knew he shouldn't have gone to that extent but he couldn't help it. How dare he insult Sophia in such a way. In fact, he deserved to die but Brad wasn't going to kill him, not yet.

He got off him and moved to the car. At first, when he didn't hear any sound from the car, fear gripped him and he thought Sophia left.

He released a sigh of relief when he opened the door and saw Sophia.

Sophia's head was bowed and she was still clutching the ruined clothes to herself.

Brad started the ignition and drove out of the place while keeping his eyes out for any boutique around.

He spotted one and pulled to a stop. He glanced at Sophia and realized that she was still in the same position that she was a few minutes ago. He wondered what was going through her mind.
