Chapter 98: The truth hurts

Brad released a sigh and moved to Sophia's side of the seat. He made sure she was comfortable and the belt seat was safely around her before he moved to the driver's side.

If he knew that Ned didn't faint through the effect of his blows, he might have dealt with him even the more.

But he couldn't wait and let it go like that. Ned was dangerous and besides, he would keep on being like that to Sophia if he didn't do anything.

He couldn't even imagine that Sophia could have passed so much in her life. She moved herself so well that it's not easily noticeable that she has seen more of life.

Brad closed the door and moved over to the other car. He hesitated briefly and looked over at the last man he spared. He was starting to wake up.

He stirred briefly. He coughed and finally opened his eyes.

Brad walked closer.

He looked up at him and his eyes widened with shock. “P_please, just let me go,” he beseeched softly.

Brad nodded once. “I plan on doing that but it's now up to you,” he muttered
