Chapter 8:- New Journey

I thanked the doctor and left. I head back to the castle.

I went to meet with the Divine King “I will stay in the castle for some time. Please, help me train the holy magic. I will leave for the Demon Realm after I am strong enough to defend myself.”

“The heavenly angels will train you from tomorrow, go and rest for today.”

The king assigned a maid to me and she showed me the way to my room. After entering my room I jumped on the bed and fell asleep instantly.

At night the maid woke me up. “The king is ordering for your presence in the dining room.”

I dressed up and went to the dining room. I chatted with the king and after dining I went to my room and fell asleep again.

Early in the morning the maid woke me up for training.

The heavenly kings were waiting for me in the training hall. The training started and I was in heaven for 2 years. After the long training my control over the holy magic was strong enough for me to defend myself.

I went to meet with the king. “After training for two years it seems like the time has come for me to leave heaven. I will go to hell where the clue to the god of origin is.”

The king said “I hope you will get success in your mission. Sophia will also go with you but she will be a little late so you will meet each other in the Dark Castle.”

“I will come again to meet you. Good bye.”

“I will be waiting for you. Till then bye, Take care.” The king said.

I left the castle and headed west.

"Ah, so you're a traveler! Welcome to my humble establishment!" says the shopkeeper. "It's nice to see someone else besides me get out of this dump! I'm still surprised that Master Sol hasn't torn the place down yet."

I look around at his vast collection of items. The shelves on either side of me teem with all sorts of strange objects. There are bottles and jars of various sizes; there are tiny figurines in odd costumes.

"I don't know if I should trust those," says the shopkeeper, shaking his head. "Some of them can be quite dangerous."

He takes down an old book from one of the shelves. He opens it up to show me a picture of a potion labeled as "The Heartening Elixir". It is a glass vial filled with a dark red fluid. "This particular concoction has been known to cause sudden heart failure when consumed," he explains.

"But, once in a while, people claim they have actually experienced the benefits of drinking this stuff..."

He points to another bottle next to it: The Heart-Stopping Potion. This one is filled with a clear liquid which looks like water but slightly tinted.

"These two are especially potent," he continues, pointing to other bottles. "They are labeled 'The Confrontation Solution' and 'The Persuasion Elixir'.

They both contain a mixture of herbs and chemicals that have been known to drive a man absolutely mad."

"Now, these last two are my favorites," says the shopkeeper. "They are labeled 'The Demon-Battering Elixir' and 'The Blood-Curdling Elixir'.

I won't find many places that sell these anymore since most of the ingredients used in making them were outlawed by the Church."

There are three vials of liquid resting on the countertop.

The first is full of a pale green liquid that looks almost exactly like blood. "This particular potion was developed over four hundred years ago in the Middle Ages," explains the shopkeeper.

"It caused extreme nausea and vomiting and made anyone who drank it feel completely drained of energy. It was often administered to prisoners to ensure their death."

The second vial is filled with a thick white liquid. "This particular potion was developed more recently," says the shopkeeper.

"Its effects are similar to those of its predecessor. However, in addition to causing violent vomiting, it also causes intense hallucinations that can be quite horrifying for the victim."

I buy a healing potion from the apothecary and drink it down in one gulp. After a moment, I feel my wounds begin to heal themselves.

"Mmm..."

After I finish drinking the potion, I notice a faint golden glow surrounding me. The golden light seems to envelop my body, and there is no longer any pain anywhere on my body. My wounds are completely healed!

As soon as I’m done buying supplies, I go back out into the marketplace and begin walking out of the town.

I am near the portal and there is a huge crowd for the ticket to use portal. After two hours of struggle I finally got my hand on a ticket.

I went ahead and gave the ticket to the ticket collector and the ticket collector moved me near the portal.

“The portal is overloaded and not working properly so you will get teleported to a random place near the city.” The ticket collector said.

I nod my head and walk to the portal. As soon as I walked past the portal I am somewhere in the middle of the forest.

A demonic beast attacks me suddenly from behind. I summon my sword.
