Snap!

The sound was especially loud in the quiet hall and like the cracks on a broken mirror, the strange charm that left everyone in a daze began to crack and shatter.

This woke up everyone from their dazed state and they instantly all realised what had happened. It seems this guy had been using some weird magnetic talents on their minds! How dare he?!

The mere thought of influencing people's minds even though it was subtle, still irked them.

"Beat him up!" Someone shouted and soon the crowd had all rushed to deal at least two punches to their satisfaction.

"No! no! Wait! Wait! This is all a misunderstanding!" Rodrick pleaded.

"Misunderstanding my ass!" A chubby woman with puffy cheeks boosted herself forward. Her speed making people evaluate her further. These days, you really couldn't judge people by their physical appearance especially weight.

The lady arrived close to Rodrick and got ready for a smash of her fist.

“Where's the money?! Aim for the money!“ Someone shouted.

Blade twisted his bare upper torso in an almost 180 degree manner as his ears twitched at a very familiar sound.A thin curved blade that almost looked like a crescent moon flew past Blade in a near hit manner and embedded itself on the wall. Blade didn't even bother to look as he concentrated hard on the changes around him. His heightened senses kept track of dfferent sounds, the airflow in this subterranean tunnel and the change in temperature.Drip! Drip! Drip!Droplets of sweat kept dripping into the water of the tunnel below. The whole place was dark and silent while the only thing here was the tunnel walls, the darkness, water and the man in the middle. His upper torso was naked and covered in sweat and his hair had been matted against his forehead. There was a thin line of dried blood on his cheek and other similar lines on his arms and back. His eyes were closed while his concentration was at it's limits. This means he has to find the exit in two days time or minimalize his consumption of energy to the least while searching for optimal solutions to his current predicament. He just couldn't keep running right? While on the run, he scanned the walls of the tunnel for a way to disable the mechanisms responsible for shooting the hidden weapons. His findings left him discouraged. There was no clue from the outside of the wall. After 3 hours of running, he figured out a subtle pattern of the traps and stopped stepping on them. THis gave him breathing spa

Splash! That was the sound of water splashing when something drops into it. Blade hurried to the front and saw a pool of water that stretched for about 800 metres. This pool wasn't stagnant but was actually flowing slowly. It's surface was quiet with occasional ripples that seemed to come from the Degoserind that just escaped into it.Blade halted in front of the lake and tried to make out the somewhat obscure figure ahead. What he saw almost made him laugh out in joy! It was a gate!!!Where there was a gate, usually meant the end of a journey. Blade heaved a sigh of relief and told himself mentally that the gate was just ahead. He couldn't just rush in to the water and Wade all the way to the gate. Feeling the after effects of this cleansing, Blade felt like soaking forever in this pool when he remembered something very embarassing. The stuff that had been accumulating down there couldn't be passed off as gas any longer. It had to come out in it's natural form.Soon, the improvements that he was getting was becoming smaller and smaller until it became almost non existent but that was the least of Blade's concern right now. All the pleasure he had been feeling reduced as he thought of what he could do to relieve himself urgently.Looking at this swirling vortex, it's force didn't seem to reduce at all. It just kept him trapped in the middle. That's when Blade realised this might not be all that good. The force of this vortex was greater than his maximum strength. He couldn't breakthrough it what he had to do was to find a way to slip out of it's range. But first, he had to answer nature's call or else, nature might pick it up forcefully on it's own.“Screw it!“ Blade grunted as h

Jumping into the turbulent pool, Blade still had his misgivings because this stuff sounded very sketchy. It looked like a con-man trying to put up a convincing act to him. He was more inclined to run and get the hell out of here but his curiosity on the real likeness of an ancient one kept him. As his vision blurrred, he kept his guard up and maintained his concentration on the environment around him but it was quickly rendered useless. This pool had a special effect of blocking superhuman senses. When Blade thought about it, he realised why he never noticed the Ancient one that was asleep in the first place. The special fluid had a function of hibernation and concealment. It was basically a natural home for the Ancient one. The Ancient ones would secrete this special fluid and wrap themselves up with it. This would preserve their energy, allow them hibernate more comfortably and keep them from prying eyes which was usually virtually impossible since they could only be found deep do

The Degoserind commented on Blade's state in distaste."Hmmph! such a weakling, I still have to carry you after all. You better not do anything funny at my back or else I'll drop you and make sure that the ancient ones get to you" The Degoserind harrumphed and picked Blade up before running away.Watching the speed of something was totally different from experiencing that same speed.
