Jumping into the turbulent pool, Blade still had his misgivings because this stuff sounded very sketchy. It looked like a con-man trying to put up a convincing act to him. He was more inclined to run and get the hell out of here but his curiosity on the real likeness of an ancient one kept him.

As his vision blurrred, he kept his guard up and maintained his concentration on the environment around him but it was quickly rendered useless. This pool had a special effect of blocking superhuman senses. When Blade thought about it, he realised why he never noticed the Ancient one that was asleep in the first place.
