"You blinked first," I said back.

She laughed that haunting laugh of hers. "I guess I did."

This was the only time she had ever backed down. She let me go in Mirocco but she couldn't keep fighting when her side surrendered. She had her cover to keep, but even if she had, there was no one to back her up. She would have been fighting all the Aquitese forces alone and not even she could come out of that alive. Especially if she had to take me alive.

"I think I deserve a price."

I deserved a hell of a lot more than a simple price. Anyone who had to fight with her and survive deserved a price.

I watched her plane as we spoke.

"Oh? And what does my sweet prince want as a reward?" Emer Gallagher purred.

I positioned my plane so I would fly into the cloud above me. My view vanished into a field of white. She wouldn't be able to follow up on her attack immediately and switching over to the A1 unit, I was able to hover in the cloud.
