The variant stared at him sharply. "In it, you will face the power that has been waiting for centuries. A legacy from previous Arkana users."

Leon took a deep breath. He knew that there was no way back. If he wants to master his strength fully, he must pass all these tests.

With a steady step, he grabbed the door grip and pushed it slowly.

The blue light covered his body, and in an instant, he disappeared from the room.

---

When his consciousness returned, Leon found himself in the middle of an ancient ruins. The surrounding air is filled with the aroma of dust and ancient magic that feels thick. In front of him, there was a large altar with dim symbols.

However, before he could go further, the roar echoing around him. From the shadow of the ruins, dark creatures began to appear. Their eyes glowed red, and their bodies were filled with an evil aura that made the air feel heavy.

[Warning: Destiny door guard creatures have been active!]

Leon took a sharp breath. This is not just a mental test or self -reflection - this is a real battle.

Quickly, he held his sword and prepared to face a battle that would determine the next step on his journey.

The air around Leon suddenly became heavy. The creatures of fate door guard began to surround him, their red eyes shined like embers in the darkness. The sound of growling that echoed, as if signaling that they were not just an illusion or an ordinary test.

[Active Arkana Analysis]

[Identification of enemies: Wraith Guardian - Arkana -based entity that tests the feasibility of strength carrier.

Leon tightened the grip of his sword. A faint blue light throbbed along its blades, responding to Arkana's energy in his body. He knew that this was not a battle he could avoid.

The first Wraith shot at him, his movements were so fast that they were barely visible. Leon avoided on time, but the scratches of the creature still left energy ripples in the air. He replied with a quick slash, but his sword pierced Wraith's body without giving real injuries.

"Physical attack will not be enough." Leon cursed in his heart.

The variant once said that Arkana's energy must be used intelligently - not just as a rough force, but as a tool to adjust to the opponent.

He closed his eyes for a moment, feeling Arkana's flow in him. [Synchronization of Arkana: 43%]

"Deeper ... deeper ..." Leon let his energy flow, letting his sword become an extension of himself. When he opened his eyes back, his sword blade was no longer a faint blue blue, but glowing brightly like a burning blue fire.

One of Wraith jumped at him, this time faster. However, Leon is ready. With a sharp swing, he cut down the body of the creature-and this time, his sword really hit something. Wraith screamed before his body disappeared into a black fog.

[Enemy Defeated: Wraith Guardian (1/5)]

The other three Wraith moved together, trying to surround him. Leon rotates, cutting one, but the other two shot at him from behind.

[Warning: Double attacks are detected!]

Leon turned his body reflexively and resisted attacks with his sword, but the combined power of two Wraith made him pushed back. His back hit the rubble of the stone, pain spread in his bones.

He coughed, but immediately stood up. "I can't let this drag on."

Arranging his breathing, he channeled more energy to his sword. This time, the blades were not only glowing, but began to issue small electric sparks on the edges.

[New Technique Activated: Thunder Cleave]

Leon cuts forward, and from his sword blades, lightning flashes, grabbing two wraiths at once. The two creatures screamed before being destroyed into dust.

[Enemy was defeated: Wraith Guardian (3/5)]

The remaining two Wraith seemed to doubt for a moment, but then joined them into one bigger creature. Their red eyes light with a stronger intensity, and their aura becomes more concentrated.

Leon gritted his teeth. "Of course they won't make this easy."

The creature roared and jumped at him at an extraordinary speed. Leon could barely react, but his instincts took over. He jumped to the side, then thrust his sword to the ground.

[Combination technique activated: Arcane Burst!]

The wave of blue energy exploded from the ground, hit the creature with extraordinary power. The big Wraith screamed before his body was split again into a black fog.

[All enemies were defeated. The third test was successfully completed.]

Leon was panting, but before he could enjoy his victory, the altar in the middle of the ruins began to shine. The symbols on the surface rotate, forming a pattern that was previously hidden.

On the altar, a ball of light floated, throbbing slowly like a beating heart.

[Third Exam Prize: Closed Arkana fragments - need further synchronization to be activated.]

Leon stepped forward, staring at the ball of light with curiosity. Whatever is in it, he knows that this is the key to a bigger power - and the beginning of a more severe challenge in the future.

With trembling hands, he reached out his hand and touched the ball of the light.

Bright blue light exploded around him.

The world around it changes once again.

** Locked Arkana Fragmen

When Leon touched the ball of the light, the world around him shook. Energy waves enveloped his body, making him feel like falling into a cliff without base. Blinking blue light around him, turned into ancient symbols that spin in a whirlpool that he could not understand.

[Closed Arkana fragment interacts with the user's core]

[Synchronization begins ... 45%... 50%...]

Leon groaned. The sensation of heat piercing his chest, as if something tried to enter him forcibly. He tried to control his breath, but the more he resisted, the stronger the pressure.

"Accept. Don't fight," mysterious voice echoed in his mind.

Leon gasped. It was not a variant sound, nor was the sound of the system he used to hear. This is different - in and full of greatness.

He relaxed his body, letting the energy soak. Instantly, the pressure subsided, turning into warm flow that flowed through his blood vessels. His gaze became clear, and suddenly, he was no longer in the ruins.

Around him turned into an unlimited stretch of sky, with golden clouds floating around him. In the distance, the black -robed figure stood on a towering stone pillar.

Leon looked at him alert. "Who are you?"

The figure did not answer immediately. He just raised his hand, and suddenly, the world around them changed again. Now, Leon stands in the middle of the burning battlefield. The bodies were scattered on the ground, and the sky was filled with screams and roar of giant creatures fought.

In the midst of that chaos, someone who was similar to Leon squatted, his body was filled with wounds. His sword stuck in the ground, and his gaze was filled with despair.

"It's me?" Leon muttered.
