Prepare for war [II]

New Chrisland City,

Bureau of Exorcist HQ,

Head Executive Office.

Elena was seen working on a bunch of files and paperwork in her extremely luxurious and well-furnished office. As most of her attention was buried down deeply, she quickly noticed a familiar presence descending into the room, obviously someone was at the door. The Presence belonged to neither Xavier nor Adam.

“Come in” She promptly ordered, inviting the unknown individual into her office.

“Splendid” The Individual answered with a posh British accent similar to that of Xavier’s.

Almost immediately, the individual entered the office and to Elena’s surprise, the individual wasn’t alone. That wasn’t the only surprise, the person who had just stepped in seemed to be one of her familiar’s.

“Head Executive Elena, it’s a pleasure meeting you”

“Gehrman, it’s been a while” Elena brightly commented staring at the person in front of her.

Judging by the person voice, once could tell he was a male. The man in topic seemed to have several abnormal features such as his brightly Azure colored hair and eyes, alongside his handsome baby face which was strangely similar to that of Xavier’s. He also had a dazzling looking earring, which he wore on his left eye and a pair of smart looking glasses.

Behind Gehrman was a young man, slightly older than Adam. He had dark brown, spiky hair with long slender eyes which made it seem like he was always glaring at someone. His stoic expression was impeccably colder than that of Adam.

“You can say that again” Gehrman excitedly commented, taking a sit on the visitors couch.

“Who might this be?” Elena inquired, referring towards the stoic individual that stood by Gehrman.

“He’s my Personal Assistant, David Volpir” The Azure colored male answered swiftly.

“It’s nice to meet you David” Elena excitedly greeted the young man.

“The pleasure is all mine, Head Executive Elena” David promptly answered with a polite bow.

“So, where’s that bloody bastard we call Xavier” Gehrman brightly exclaimed, wearing a nostalgic smile.

“I’m sure is up to his old shenanigans” He added with a hearty chuckle.

“He’s alright, thanks for asking. He is currently unavailable at the moment but we should be expecting his return today, I hope” Elena said, wearing a delighted smirk.

“Okay, I understand” He awkwardly replied, softly caressing his Azure colored hair.

“I was really surprised when I saw your transfer letter. Are you really transferring back to this branch?” Elena said, scrolling through a bunch of files designated on her desk.

“Yes I am. Like I always say, there’s no place like home” Gehrman promptly answered.

“Yeah whatever you say” Elena commented with diminished enthusiasm.

“What does that mean?” Gehrman curiously inquired.

“I know you, you wouldn’t do anything with a logical explanation and you transferring back here isn’t logical” Elena stoically explained while she glared at her old buddy.

“Is that so?” He awkwardly responded, wearing a proud smirk.

“Why are you here?” She asked, sending a wicked death glare at the poor young man.

“I’ll be frank with you… We need to prepare for war” He answered as his expression turned sour.

“What do you mean?” She confusedly inquired, cautiously staring at The Azure haired male.

“I mean we need to prepare for a large scale attack. It’s definitely going to be on a whole different scale than the Incident seven years ago” He promptly replied.

“That’s not possible”

Meanwhile,

Bureau of Exorcism HQ,

Entrance gate.

Xavier and Jeremy appeared right out of the blues, shocking the Exorcists who were trying to either exit or enter the premises.

“Home…. Home Sweet Home!” Xavier exclaimed with relief, dancing awkwardly around obviously grabbing the attention of the surrounding Exorcists.

“Would you stop dancing like a dork?” A familiar voice commented.

“Oh Adam, how are ya?” Xavier responded, waving at Adam.

Adam was looking stoic as ever, sending a wicked glare at Xavier’s direction. Behind him, was his little sister Stella.

“I’m fine, thanks for asking” Adam reluctantly replied.

“Whoa!” Xavier blurted while he awkwardly stared at Adam.

Seeing his weird stare, Adam instantly choked on his saliva, throwing him into an awkward position.

“What’s with that look?” He asked.

“I didn’t actually think you’d reply” Xavier wryly commented.

“Well, don’t expect it again” Adam yelled, shifting his attention away from Xavier.

“Hey Stella!” Jeremy said, cheerfully waving at the shy teenage girl.

“Hi.. Jeremy” She promptly responded.

“I’m glad you’re alright” He said, wearing a cheery smile.

“So as you” She replied.

“What have you been up to?” He brightly asked, staring earnestly at the shy Teenage girl.

Seeing this, Stella suddenly buries her face in he palms trying not to make eye contact with Jeremy. “Nothing, I was just training with my brother” She awkwardly replied.

“Whoa, I bet you’re really strong now” Jeremy remarked, waving his arms frantically.

“I guess so, but I can’t be stronger than you. You trained with Xavier, so obviously you’re going to be stronger than me” She replied.

“Hey, I heard that” Adam grumbled, glaring at Stella causing her to choke in her words.

Noticing the awkward display, Xavier couldn’t help himself as he began to hysterically laugh, further annoying Adam.

“She’s totally right Adam!” He said, trying to hold himself.

“Would you shut the hell up!” Adam yelled in disgust.

Hearing Adam’s exclaim, Xavier continued to his incessant laughter which gravely annoyed Adam.

“You were supposed to be here ten minutes ago, what happened?” Adam inquired with his usual demeanor.

“We got attacked by one of those New Grade Primes” Xavier promptly answered.

“For real?” Adam commented in shock.

“Yes. He called himself Regal and apparently, he was the one fought Taejin” Xavier added, wearing a neutral demeanor.

“But according to him, he wasn’t the one who killed Taejin… It was his companion, Dragshik” He promptly added.

“Is that so?” Adam responded, wearing a wicked grin.

“What’s with that look” Jeremy inquired, confusedly staring at Adam’s weird face.

“Nothing, I’m just glad I know exactly who or what I wanna kill”

“That’s creepy” Jeremy out rightly noted with diminished enthusiasm.

“Yeah, Jeremy is right. It is creepy” Stella immediately added, obviously shocking her Elder brother.

“What!” He whined, appalled by their reaction.

“I agree with the kids, it’s really creepy” Xavier said, nodding his head in affirmation.

“Damn you all” Adam cursed, infuriated by the cheeky response he got.

As they continued their chat, an Exorcist of Tier Four suddenly approached them with his gaze and attention, heavily fixed on Xavier.

“Executive Xavier, may I have a moment?” He respectfully inquired with an awkward salute.

“Oi Norman, I’ve told you not to be too formal”

“But the custom rules says I should formally address High ranking Officials in the Bureau” Norman sternly replied.

As the lad kept on preaching about the rules and regulations of the Bureau, Xavier pretended to fall asleep obviously due to the dull and tedious conversation. Noticing this, immediately threw Normal in a state of confusion, embarrassment and disarray.

“Just skip the Trivia already” Adam commented, clasping his arms together.

“Alright!” Norman replied.

“Executive Xavier… Executive Xavier…. Executive Xavier!” He exclaimed, awkwardly staring at an actually snoozing Xavier.

“Xavier, wake up you dumbass!” Adam yelled with annoyance.

“Huh, what. Oh my gosh, I think Norman bored me to sleep… That’s a real thing you know?” Xavier wryly commented, wearing a mischievous smile.

“Ah jeez. Damn you” Adam said, shaking his with disappointment.

“What did you want to tell me?” Xavier inquired, shifting his attention towards Norman who was still feeling slightly embarrassed.

“Head Executive Elena said you she wants to see you” Norman promptly answered, recomposing himself.

“Oh shit, what did I do this time” Xavier grumbled as he shook his head.

“She said you have a visitor” Norman promptly added, confusing both Xavier and Adam.

“A Visitor” Adam confusedly blurted while he glared at Xavier.

“Could it be that bloody old bastard, Gehrman Sparrow”
