Chapter 12 Student Teacher v.s. Teacher Part 3 A Week in Confinement, in a Wholeass Dungeon

.

Punishment Comes Around-

.

The next few days were uneventful at the Akademy. Students were not allowed to leave the grounds due to a set of Nobles having an altercation in the Port area. Not to mention the small student riots that took place over the last few days.

William was currently teaching a class on the benefits of reaching the highest Rank possible for the Gathering Realm. The students listened intently and absorbed the instructions dutifully. A few outside students wanted to sit on the lecture but were turned away. They used the grounds of what happened previously to do so with the Spear and Sword issue.

He mostly did it to the cowards from before. No one in their right mind would waste time in helping that sort. Well, not William anyway.

During the First Break is when it happened. Students, those higher up in the Grade, came over. No different than Enforcers he attributed to the mob, really. The students paid close attention, with a few looking antsy.

"Student Teacher William," A disciplinary student came over with a missive. Five other students with him that basically acted as enforcers. "this is a Detainment Warrant. For Inciting Discord amongst the students, you are sentenced to a week in Solitary Confinement."

"That is nothing to worry about, my students. Each of you have your course lined out for you, so make sure you follow them well." William followed the Disciplinary Students without a problem. The students' sleeves had Glyphs etched on to prevent troublesome students from getting away. No reason to cause a mess that would end poorly. "Make sure you keep your guard up; never know when backstabbers may try and entice you to do wrong."

A student watched from another area with the neighboring class quietly. With a shift in her Seat and turn of the page of the book in front, she used a Glyph to inform her Mistress.

The 2nd Seat would want to know about this as soon as possible. Quite a few would be whispering about what took place without a "Student Hearing" anytime soon.

The fact William was moved directly to the location for punishment was something he doubted would happen. He was processed and checked over in a way that would make even the most corrupted TSA agent cringe.

'Its a good thing I spent all my money and increased my cultivation.' His thoughts were on the toe ring. 'Even the trip to the library to help find out more about it was worth it. It's a little rare with the ability to seep into one's flesh for a few minutes to hide it.'

"He is good to go." An Enforcer cleared William. He was then passed off to another group to be escorted. 'We should have just escorted him all the way. This is not normal in the least.'

As if reading the one Enforcer's mind, the other students moved on before any trouble occurred faster. Fetting in the way of corrupt Teachers and Coordinators just made it difficult to graduate.

Or worse...

The Solitary Confinement was just a Dungeon. Instead of William getting placed on the first level, which his citation stated, someone arranged for him to go somewhere else. Going down to the 9th level.

The place with the students who broke the most common of laws but done them repeatedly. After the 9th level... was the 10th and so forth to the 12th. Which, by the admission of certain accounts, was not somewhere you wanted to go.

"Easiest money I ever made." The Warden hefted a sack of funds that would give him smooth sailing for some time. He had know idea who was sent to the 9th level but would know in due time for his mistake. 'Ahh, a few months from now, and I get to leave this place. I wonder how everything is going in the Lancaster Territory? That old battle-ax should have found someone else to send here to represent the Family by now."

As a member of the Lancaster Family that was stationed to assist their members in the Akademy, he broke severe Family Laws by moving against William.

Even if he was outcasted, William was still a Lancaster by blood rights.

"Go in." The disciplinary student pushed him inside. "See you in a week. If you last that long anyway." His smug look made William frown until he left.

"Wow, a whole ass dungeon. How intriguing." William starts studying the place. The best thing to do as an Archaeologist and to help him think about how to survive the place.

The rancid smell was nothing, as well as the cold breeze inside the place. It was most likely to cause issues for a normal person, but with the number of horror movies and the incident at the dig before arriving in this Dimension, he was fine.

"What kind of babies get bothered by blood and guts this day and age?" William flipped a body over and fell into habits of cataloging. He was pushing the jawline slightly and staring at the teeth. "Claw marks.. it has been to long to match it to the hands-on the side. Stupid fingernail growth!"

He completely neglected he was not in a modern time and was in some type of Prehistoric Era. Mixed with the worse parts of the Renaissance Era. All it was missing was dinosaurs or something to match more.

Then again, the Mana Beasts were something to take into consideration. Which was something he needed to do soon. The need to put pressure to increase the time for his cultivation was more paramount than he thought.

"Maybe the lack of light is supposed to be damning?" Forced under dim view, fear would seep in due to the mind playing tricks. Not to mention the quiet of the place. "There is nothing as far as I can feel with my senses. In fact, this is the perfect place to most likely hone it further."

Knowledge System: Multiple partial engravings detected. Close proximity to scan them closer to gather images properly.

William went to work a little faster as he moved. He wasn't going to be here that long; he could focus only on finding stuff. The idea of getting in trouble to come here was wholly tossed out the window. He might get killed screwing around that way, and they would most likely figure something is wrong if he requested to head to level 9 to check stuff out.

The first two days passed by quickly enough. On the third day, he had enough research material for long-term study later. A few dead students were found here and there; the little history he read for the Akademy had them placed a few centuries before him timewise.

The preservations of the Body were weird.

Dead didn't need the resources on them. Oddly enough, not a single trace of metal was found on them. A few more marks on the ground that matched the entrance were found as well.

'Finally unlocked the encryption on all of these Object Storage Rings. Few more terabytes could be best for me right now.' Placing them on his finger to check them over, William was not ready for them to vanish. 'Well.. that happened.'

Knowledge System: Object Storage Reformatted. Size increase by 325 Terrabytes.

It added to the other overall storage capacity without deleting anything. That was nice but also.

'That.. is a very odd notification. In fact.. it is has changed more and more since I have been here, even after the changing and reformatting.' It started to bug him just enough to focus on it a little more but all his checks revealed nothing. 'Maybe it is because of this... The era has an effect on electronics?'

Rubbing his chin in thought, William used his other hand to clean a bowl he found of the remaining dust. Having taken his shoes off to help hold the Bowl with his feet for stability.

The shoes he had on were so worn out; he really hated to have to spend money on buying some more so soon. The Original William had gotten either robbed or he was a weirdo with only one pair of shoes.

Or someone decided not to give him during the time his mental faculties were not so great.

"Haa, still nothing found." Sighing, he looked at the Bowl, admiring it was made of such polished stone. Didn't feel like normal stone, however. "Let's determine what this stuff is, at least."

Focusing Mental energies on the Bowl, the Scanner worked faster and picked up the object better thanks to it in detail. His Mana Pool drained quicker, of course, but it was worth the faster work results.

"Perfect time than any really." Pulling out a few elixirs, he poured it all into a bowl and started stirring. 'The Blood Sword Technique is something else. At least it will be better than nothing pushing it forward for the 36 strikes now.'

The single focus on the techniques that revolved around blood allowed a strange sense of blood detection to develop in himself. Even decayed dried-up blood cells that were in the bodies of other creatures were detected.

Further attainment in the usage would lead to finding actually living people. Well, that was the hope anyway.

Despite himself, William couldn't help but gather the blood of the dead to use for his training. He was bringing every bit into a few other bowls that he didn't clean for consumption.

The bodies moved slowly under his pull. Weight and overall volume determined how fast he could move them. Heavy bodies fell from his grasp, with dried blood clumping together. By the feel of it, a few blood cells were still alive.

Which should be impossible.

'This is really a crazy world I am in. No human has blood that survives more than what... a 100-120 days? With the application of Mana, I would expect it to really just be a few additional weeks. Or is it because of the strength they were at before dying doing so to elevate the blood to last longer?'

Opening up the further detail of The Blood Sword Technique for his sword work, he used Word Search to find keywords to help him along. It wasn't until he keyed in Bloodletting he found something worthwhile.

'With my study of Holistic Medicine so far... this could work. But am I really that desperate yet?' Reading and doing were two different things. The thought of consuming human blood was a bit of a small and large leap from animal blood consumed in food. 'Yeah.. I am that desperate actually. Hell, the William before me almost was killed by his "peer group" not to mention what I just did to get in here.'

Some blood was kept for study while the blood.. flakes were stored in a bowl separately and boiled with an Elixer he found. He had no idea what it would do but refining it should reduce the danger and dilute it further.

The bones were removed and grounded into powder for a full day. Dried flesh was stacked towards the direction of the hall in the Dungeon. In case some type of beast came charging that left those claw marks, it would meet a bunch of discarded remains first.

Knowledge System: 87% Purity of Ashbone Elixer finished. Safe for consumption in current condition.

"Bottoms up." William drank the entire Elixer Mix in one go. It helped to not think about what was mixed inside. "Yup.. that ground-up mushroom did not help the taste." His mouth had a chalky taste to it.

The good news, is he didn't feel any pain thanks to the state the bones were in before starting. The former students or prisoners, for that matter, were not powerful in the Body. It did take effort to crush the bones, thoroughly so maybe not that weak.

* Rumble!* Far down the passages and corridors, the place shook a little up to William's location. Someone or something was happening and it was moving about.
