Chapter 005 - Ares Getting Himself An Enviable and Wealthy Wife

‘So soft!! What’s this soft and squishy texture in my hand?’

Ares couldn’t help but subconsciously squeeze the object in his hand. He had no idea whether he was only dreaming or he was just waking up.

Suddenly, however, a hard smack hit his hand away.

Ares was forcefully woken up. The moment he did, Olivia’s eyes also snapped open.

Seeing each other, the two were first incredibly startled, but then they went blank for a second, which was followed by; “Argh!!!! Who are you !!! Who are you and what are you doing in my bed?! What have you done to me?!!!”

A shrill scream that almost deafened Ares entered his ears, rousing him up from his stupor at the incredible beauty he had seen upon his waking up.

Ares became greatly scared and confused hearing her words.

“I… I did not do anything to you, I… I only remembered drinking last night, and that was it!”

“You… you…”

Olivia, shocked and scared to death abruptly made the intention of rushing out of bed, but then a great and sharp pain inflicted her in her underbelly.

She went utterly blank for almost a minute, but then very slowly, her eyes and mouth widened and her face turned significantly to the definition of shock.

She couldn’t accept the discovery. No, she did not want to think that it was as she had thought, but then suddenly, from the corner of her eyes, she saw the petal of a rose on the bed.

Instantly, she understood what it was, it was the blood from her hymen being broken.

Her blood became cold and she trembled wildly.

Suddenly, she went insane.

“You’ve… you’ve taken my virginity!”

Ares, “_”

Ares again, “_”

Ares for the third time, “_”

‘Took her Virginity?’

‘What’s she talking about?’

‘Wasn’t I betrayed yesterday and decided to drown away my sorrow, how could I disvirgin someone?’

‘Does that also mean that I’ve been disvirgined?’

All sorts of questions began to pop into Ares’s mind, but then suddenly, he saw the incredibly beautiful girl, undoubtedly the most beautiful girl he had ever seen in his entire life suddenly bursting into tears.

“Argh!! How could this be?! How? Did I not only come to the bar yesterday to find someone who would help me chase away that bastard?”

“Boohoo!!! How could this have happened to me? How could I lose my virginity to a stranger?”

Her tears were so real and painful, making the heart of Ares shake and making him not know what to do again.

“I… I…,” he became greatly scared and couldn’t handle the sob of the beauty.

“Please don’t cry again, Ares wanted to rush toward her, but feeling a cold breeze blowing to his body, he realized that he was stark naked.

He hurriedly wore his underpants and trousers, but the lady wasn’t aware, as she was busily weeping right now.

Of course, she has already recalled everything, no, almost all the things that happened other than how she got into the room with Ares and how they got to their position.

She couldn’t believe that she had lost her virginity just like that and in such a way.

“Please don’t cry again. I will take full responsibility.”

Ares pleaded again, yet the woman only continued sobbing unabatedly until, in a sudden shift, her gentle and naïve demeanor of the previous night and that morning changed greatly, and a chilling aura emanated from her, nearly causing Ares's soul to run away from his body from fear.

Before he could grasp the situation, Olivia had fixated on him with an emotionless glare, her face cold beyond words, transforming her into an entirely different person from moments before.

Ares opened his mouth, but he couldn’t speak.

"I don't need you to shoulder any responsibility; what's done is done. Forget everything that has happened between us and go your way. We shall both act like we've never crossed paths from now on.”

“I…”

Ares opened his mouth, but the exceptionally cold and emotionless expression he saw on the lady’s face gave him no chance to say the word on his mind.

He became nervous.

“Please turn around.”

Olivia suddenly said, her voice still freezing cold, making Ares dumbly do as told.

As soon as he did, a pained and regretful look appeared on Olivia’s face. She still couldn’t believe that she had really lost her treasure to a total stranger whom she had not even the slightest tinge of feelings for, just like that.

She forced herself to stand up and then limp toward all the places her dress was scattered.

Her face became pale, but she forced herself to get dressed.

Once done, she did not even look at Ares and then she limped toward the door.

Ares hurriedly open his mouth.

“You…”

Before he could speak more than one word, the door had been pulled open, but then the faces of himself and Olivia went blank.

Standing right outside the door was a group of three people.

A handsome man between thirty to thirty-three years old, whose face currently has rage and disbelief etched on it, an emotionless old man, and a beautiful lady, who has a playful smile on her face.

The place became incredibly quiet, but then the lady with a playful grin glanced at the old man.

“Look, grandfather, you refused to believe me when I reported to you that my cousin slept over with a man in a hotel, did I lie now.”

As soon as the voice sounded, the silence there was broken and everybody returned to their senses.

Olivia’s face became significantly pale and she looked at the lady with disbelief.

“Cou… cousin, you… you brought grand… grandfather here?”

Her mouth opened with shock while her head rang nonstop.

The lady before her was the one who came up with the plan for her to use another guy to chase off the womanizer she did not want to marry.

“You… you brat!!” a voice filled to the brim with rage abruptly snapped at her, startling her greatly, then she looked at the old man, who was gazing her at with disappointment right now.

“How could you? How could you of all people, who I thought to be the most decent in the family do this? How could you?”

The old man shook as though he was going to fall, but Olivia’s cousin, Rebecca had already rushed to support him.

Olivia trembled and her head would not stop ringing.

“As for you!”

The old man abruptly glanced at Ares. “I so much which to kill you right now, but if I did, who will marry that… that… that brat in the future!!!”

“I…”

Ares wanted to speak, but the old man had already ignored him and glanced back at his granddaughter.

“For you to bring him to a place like this, you two must only be enjoying yourself with no intention for the future, right? Here is one of my punishments. That guy is your husband from now on. Prepare to go to the local government and register your wedding straight away.”

“Grandfather!!!” Olivia trembled hard and called out, but the old man had already turned around and stormed away, leaving behind only Rebecca and Mason.

"You..." Mason, who had been silent since seeing Olivia, whom he had always regarded as a saint, emerged from the room, the disheveled bed within revealing a side he had never anticipated growled with so much rage that he did not want to unleash. "I've always held you in high regard, even planning to adjust my behavior to align with your liking and discard all my other women for you, but to discover that..."

He appeared so pained before he gazed at Ares. “As for you!” His body abruptly released a killing intent that slightly suffocated Ares. “Nobody had ever stolen mine, Mason’s woman before. I swear by my name and a playboy reputation that I will make you regret ever coming to this word!”

Leaving this threat that was filled to the brim with hatred, Mason also stormed away, leaving behind Rebecca.

Olivia gazed at her.

“Why?” She asked, but Rebecca couldn’t stop laughing.

“Well, it’s because I like Mason and I want grandfather to like me,” she responded matter of factly, greatly dumbfounding Olivia.

“Why? We’ve always been very close and I’ve always seen you as an elder sister, constantly seeking your advice. Why do you need to betray and set me up because of a guy I’ve never liked? Why do you betray me because you want Grandfather to like you, why?”

Hot silent tears that were several times more painful than when she learned that she had lost her virginity to a total stranger began to cascade down her eyes, but Rebecca wasn’t moved at all, she only smirked before laughing with anger.

“I don’t know if you are only foolish or you just like acting like you are. Do you think Mason would have really left you if the plan had gone according to how you intended? You think grandfather would have even allowed the two of you to break up?”

“I…”

Olivia opened her mouth with disbelief.

She couldn’t believe Rebecca’s words.

She watched her blankly while Rebecca suddenly glanced at Ares.

“Lucky bastard. You’ve gained the wish of almost all the young men of Rex City for yourself. Nice one,” she winked playfully and then stormed away, leaving Ares and Olivia.

Neither of the two spoke for a long time, with Ares finding it difficult to believe that he had just been involved in destroying the life of an innocent beauty.

“You… so, all the stories you told me last night were made up? So, you only used my sympathy to dupe me and make me get drunk?”

Olivia abruptly glanced at Ares, then her eyes oozed out with the greatest level of hatred Ares had ever felt in his life.

“I… what made-up stories? Everything was true, and I wasn’t even in my right senses to have any reason to dupe you.”

“Yes, you sure were not.” Olivia smiled coldly, the hatred she has for Ares, going beyond the one she has ever had for anybody in her life, then she stormed away as well.

“You wish to marry me, right? I will grant you the wish, wait for my driver to pick you up tomorrow.” She said after forcing herself to walk normally for a few steps.

Ares couldn’t react before he eventually massaged his temples after a long time had passed.

“Why does suddenly feel as though I’ve entered a loop of nightmare since yesterday?”

He felt a headache, probably from getting drunk the previous night or from everything that had happened.
