“Have you guys heard the news?”

Back in the dark and creepy conference room within Mason’s apartment, the masked leader whom no one knows what he looks like suddenly spoke with a heavy voice.

Since only Mason had his contact details and his real-life identity was unknown to everybody, this was the only location where they could meet and communicate with him.

Additionally, he had already instructed everyone to reconvene a few hours after the previous meeting had ended.

Within the conference room that was filled with a tense and heavy atmosphere, everybody looked crest-fallen at this moment and they appeared as though they were on the losing side of a war, Mason included.

The leader, emitting an icy-cold aura glanced at everyone around him, but no one dared to look at him.

Realizing this, the leader continued speaking in his bone-chilling and creepy cold voice after a moment of nervous and panic-inducing silence.

"You... you mean you're already back in Rex City?" he asked. Upon hearing the hoarse voice, Olivia assumed that Olive was simply upset because she had traveled back without informing him. She felt incredibly apologetic, but before she could apologize more, however, the call had been disconnected on her. Olivia stopped in her tracks blankly for a second, but then she smiled wryly. “He is really furious at me this time,” she sighed, looking lost for a while before eventually shaking her head. "He has every right to be furious," she muttered, considering how challenging it must have been for Olive to secure investors for her company, arrange a meeting between them, and also book a hotel room despite the lack of availability. "I'll make i

It was only when she heard the clear voice of her grandfather that she heaved out a sigh of relief. “I just landed in Rex City, grandfather,” she said into the cell phone, probably responding to the question she was asked. “I’m on my way to your estate now,” she added after a second before listening, but then she frowned. “You want me to come over with my… my husband?” She couldn’t believe her ear. “Why though?” She inquired, but then she sighed, knowing that her grandfather had said the final words. She accepted the order before the call eventually dropped. Olivia’s brows furrowed tightly as she pondered the reason why her grandfather would want her to bring Ares with her.
