Basil hesitated: "Ah, we can't blame Ethan entirely. It was Edsel who framed Samuel."

"Moreover, Ethan is quite competent. You have no idea how much face Edsel lost in front of Ethan."

On hearing this, Lily retorted with indignation: "What's so great about him? He's just a blind cat who caught a dead rat. It's pure luck."

"If anyone's skilled, it's Samuel. What has Ethan got to do with it?"

"Driving a Honda, what can he achieve? Just fighting? What use is that?"

"Does he have money? What's his background? Is he even worthy of our Londyn?"

Lily, a rather sharp-tongued and demanding woman, continuously vented, leaving Basil completely silenced by her barrage of words.

She found herself wandering back to the soirée at the Edwards' mansion, where Ethan, in all his fleeting glory, had displayed a knack for combat, taking down Edsel with a swift maneuver. Yet, aside from that, he appeared bereft of any other discernible talents.
