Seated comfortably, Manager Steven greeted Ethan with a smile, glancing over the loan documents.

"Why didn't Director Edwards come in person today?" Steven's eyes sparkled with curiosity.

Ethan calmly responded: "She's quite busy. I'm her assistant."

"I see the terms have been discussed, so why hasn't the loan been processed?"

Adjusting his glasses, Steven's tone grew serious: "Tell me the truth."

"After our internal deliberations, we've concluded that the future prospects of your company seem rather bleak." Manager Steven began, his voice dripping with condescension: "Therefore, the fifty-million loan might not be feasible."

Ethan's brows furrowed in confusion: "Not feasible? Why weren't we informed earlier?"

Having discussed terms nearly a month ago, this sudden withdrawal was perplexing. How were they supposed to manage their company's finances? If they had been informed earlier, they could've approached another bank.
