Chapter 28: Being Pursued.

As Victoria's Audi A7 drove away, his thoughts were still a jumble. On the way, although Victoria wanted to speak to Ethan, she didn't dare interrupt his contemplation. As they reached a quiet street about fifteen or sixteen miles from the city center, a motorcycle suddenly emerged from a nearby alley. The rider, dressed in black with their face concealed, held a handgun and stared intently at the rear seat of the Audi A7, exuding a palpable hatred.

At that moment, Ethan's mind sounded an alarm. However, his reaction, no matter how fast, could not outpace the gunshot: “Watch out!" As Ethan's warning left his lips, the gunshot rang out simultaneously. The loud noise in the night was enough to cause significant disturbance, but unfortunately, the road was deserted, and everything happened too quickly.

Waiting for Ethan to react, Victoria's driver had already swerved to the other side of the road. In the opposite direction, there was a speeding truck coming their way. In that instant,
