She would not be able to defend against them and still go out against the powerful Commander. And she had to remind herself that the combined attack that they had launched at her then, at the Bisellium was something that had high power output in it. She had gone unscathed from it because she quickly capitalised on the rising of the ground into a wall. While it obscured her from seeing the Hadjans and the Familiar, it also hid her own location from there. Meaning the attackers were literally attacking her based on the last location they had sighted her on, or they were using a large scale attack on the whole field there. 

But she had escaped. And having seen their combined power output, it would be foolhardy for her to engage the commander and yet, remain at alert against the others. She was not all that powerful to maintain a battle on multiple fronts.
