The Evolution Table.
Oh, the memories that it brought. The memories that it brought to Bayo. However, that was just what it would be, for in the little time to go, he would not exist. That was just the reality of things, at least, that was what was sure to happen if whatever Yasmin was planning failed to come to light.
That is, if indeed, there was any hope in them for Yasmin himself had even said that he was not guaranteeing anything. But to Bayo, it would be worth it, whether or not there was some hidden trump card which could reverse this. It would be totally worth it.
Like Yasmin had said, he would be rather pained to die knowing that he did not know everything which had happened to him. A lot of things had occurred, one of which was how he had ended up on the head of the Divine Rainbow Serpent
Twice actually, except that the first time, he did not give consent. And seeing the way Yasmin was working tirelessly on the screen, frowning and huffing every now and then, his fingers clicking and panning, his mind began to stir some unrest. However, Bayo reasoned, just how much damage could Yasmin cause? --- They were mostly destined to die at this point, so then what was there for him to fear from Yasmin? If for anything, just like how Yasmin was getting worked up over, he also was getting agitated. His soul was slowly crumbling into nothingness reminding him of how little time he had left, nothing could be more devastating for him now, than him dying without knowing truly what did happen to him when he had gotten down in the World Bridge. Surely, there had to be more.
“Tell me Yasmin what is your true goal in all of this?” Bayo asked tentatively, looking at the soul genie in the eyes. “Why? So that I would save you? Is that not what my function is now as soul GENIE?” Yasmin snorted. “Cut the crap, Yasmin. What is your main goa; here?” Bayo disagreed instantly. He folded his hands across his chest as he stared at the soul genie now. Although Yasmin had called himself a soul genie, due to the fact that he had not been able to assimilate his soul. In Yasmin's word’s Bayo had a strong soul or rather, a Unique Soul. It was this uniqueness that had saved his soul, not once, not twice in most situations which he had come across. At least that was what Yasmin had told him. And although he did not really understand this part of him or how he had come to have a soul which would be regarded as unique, he knew far better than to let go of the chances which it did provide him. It had helped him come out on top of most situations in the tightes
However, hearing the hatred that had been well hidden behind all that action would have been enough to get him riled up then. But now, it was just one of those things. Another testament to how far he had grown. And boy, was he proud of himself. Not that it mattered, he would die in no little time. However, he was happy, inwardly, that he had grown to this point. And so, he dismissed the thought, not allowing it to take place in his heart because what use was there if he knew about it and then died without really enjoying it? “I so wanted you out… That is why I did probe your soul but then after that warning I had nothing more. It was like it was all hidden from me. I did not want to talk about it because you did not mention it to me.” Yasmin said. “I am glad that I did not, you know. It would have been real stupid of me telling my one personal enemy the secrets things that I…” “You don’t even r
“Whoever said I was doing this for you?” Bayo said, earning for himself some scoffing from Yasmin. He smirked and then shrugged his shoulders. And while he did that, the soul genie went on ahead to the screen, pressing and clicking some more buttons even as Bayo remained behind him. However, Bayo could not help but fear just a bit. He knew that so far as the screen was involved, there was very little he could get or even know in comparison to Yasmin. Yes, it was his soul but then it had been Yasmin who had really been running things here for so long now. And that was the bare truth about the whole matter. His heart skipped a beat as he thought of this. What if, just what if it was Yasmin who did get to find out about this ominous secret of his? And then the soul genie, or rather the Soul Remnant of Trixius the Great was to bail on him using that secret, if th
And of course, you would trust Laaroye to pray once more for deliverance. After all, he had done his night prayers to Oya. In fact, his murderers had taunted him on that, asking him to say a prayer to save his life. They mocked the Gods by doing so but then again they had the protection of the orisha of War, so yes, what could possibly go wrong? Laaroye was devout. And if you are thinking about what happened to the prayer, he did pray to Oya earlier then, you should dispel your thoughts for here you would be clarified. You know that very much Laaroye was being taunted to pray, surrounded by his murderous fellows, the fire razing onto his skin and stripping him of the flesh he had on. Laaroye steeled his face and ground down on his teeth, enduring the pai
Unsure of what to do, he reached out his hands to beckon to Yasmin. “Yasmin, are you seeing this?’There was no response or even an acknowledgement from Bayo. Surprised, Bayo looked back only to see that the scene had changed greatly. He was no more in the Soul Space of himself. Which explained why he did not get to hear or see Yasmin.Rather than that, he appeared to be in some sort of desert. And the eyes which were staring at him now seemed to have some more visibility, the space behind them taking up the faint outlines of a body. A body which glowed with the seven colors of the rainbow even though it was faintly. “Wait... what the heck?’ Bayo sputtered. He looked behind him, and saw himself there too. Or rather the same version of himself that had been here right there, when the serpent was talking to him.Bayo squinted. Had he travelled back to the past?``Hey, can you see me?” He waved his hands at the serpent but there was no acknowledgement
“Question of the year, what were the things I went through then?” Bayo mused. “And why was he talking about that in past tense… Wait, oh my Gosh, this does mean that Yasmin is indeed correct. I really do have missing memories.” He added more musings.“I don't want you to remember it. However, the time to remember all of that is now. You must remember." The serpent said as the current Bayo jumped to his feet.“Remember… I know that is an everyday word but hold it… You really do think I am trying my best here to make the best of this?” Bayo said again. However, much like the other time, the Rainbow colored serpent did not even budge his way and continued talking onto the former Bayo, much like he was not actually there. Which of course, he was not. For it was just a memory he was somehow reliving.“You must remember, Bayo!’ The serpent said now and time seemed to pause albeit just briefly.“I mean, come on, you literally just told me to remember…” He looked up to the se
Some of the richest places of culture and wellness are within the depths and the heights of the Second Heavens. True that they are the ones who are the closest to the first Heavens which is the abode of demons and every foul spirit. Yet they have the most origin story than most places which have ever existed, that is, if you did not consider the fact that teh Eledumare made the humans. For the fact that Eleduare made the humans, that should be more than enough to compete for more authenticity than any other story. Sorry, creators Privilege. Who are we to contest that? Certainly not me, I must say! The Second Heavens is largely dominated by the Drakoniain Confederacy which is more than a World Power. It is a Super World Power and even if it is not openly admitted, most of the shows on stage are run by the drakons and there is very little the other dWorld Powers in the area could do about it. That said, the other populace would be the Adze Circle, some outp
