Nineteen

Morning had finally come and Jake put on his bath robe and made for the bathroom. He stopped in front of the mirror and looked at himself. It seemed he had put on some weight. Well, that was inevitable since he rested more and ate well now. He didn't look like a CEO just yet but he had plans to look like one in no time. It was not yet time to tell the world that he was the heir.

He finished with his routine in the bathroom and took out one of his shirts from the wardrobe. It was one of those he bought at the boutique the last time he was there. Although it wasn't screaming class and luxury, it was decent and clean enough for the outing. It was at this point that Jake noticed his necklace wasn't on his neck.

Where did I drop it?

This necklace was the only thing his mother and father left him. According to the sisters in the orphanage, that chain was on his neck when he was found and he had treasured it since then. He closed his eyes and tried to remember the last time he saw the neck
