Stacy held her two kids close to her in the darkroom of their captors. As she cradled them, fear and sadness washed over her like a wave. She had no idea how long they would be held or what might happen to her family, and she was desperate to protect them. Emilie sat in her cell wearing her prison uniform, staring at Alan with an expression of confusion and hurt. She wanted to understand why he had lied to Teddy and herself, pretending to be their friend while he was a private investigator. Ernestine and Teddy had taken it upon themselves to watch the news since they knew what was going to happen and within seconds they turned on the television it seemed it brought a glimmer of hope to them as they saw a picture of Emilie showing she was free and from what they knew she wouldn't have anywhere to go to.Ernestine and Teddy were ecstatic when they heard the news that Emilie was released from police custody. Stacy, Aria, and Asher were all being treated in the same hospital for the maltreatment they had suffered at the hands of their captors. The doctors and nurses worked hard to make sure they were receiving the best possible care while they recovered. Stacy was in immense pain throughout the process and could barely walk, but she was determined to get back to normal as soon as possible for her children. Even though it was a difficult time, the hospital staff tried their best to make it easier for Stacy and her kids. They provided support and comfort when needed, helped them with simple daily tasks, and made sure that all the necessary medical procedures went smoothly. Emilie stared in disbelief as the judge read out the verdict – a light sentence for the crimes she had committed. She felt a wave of shock wash over her as she realized that the ramifications of her actions were not even close to being fully addressed. She looked desperately around the courtroom for her loved ones – Stacy and Ryan – but all she could see was a sea of unfamiliar faces. Even amidst the chaos, however, she knew that there was no undoing the wrongs she had done. Emilie felt her face flush with shame and embarrassment as she tried to make sense of the ruling.
