After coming home from his quiet moment he noticed his wife had packed her things and had not even had the courtesy of leaving a note as they always did back then when he was still in love with each other.
He tried calling her but there was no response.
He took a bath and went to his work place and he was not fine, his wounded hand still hurt but then again he had to work to make a living. His thirty first birthday was around the corner.
“Hey Buddy, what’s wrong with you?” Stacy asked .
“I think my wife is cheating on me Stace and I can’t seem to take it because it is very much hurtful” He lamented to his friend who was feeling sorry for him.
“Why would you say so?” Stacy asked and that was when he explained all that had happened and how when he even when she had been confronted she didn’t deny of accept anything but it was obvious what he had found out.
“Whose boss gives those many gifts to an employee without having anything else attached to it?” Ryan asked still perplexed.
“Well maybe the employee who works her butt off don’t you think?” Stacy asked and then she began to laugh which only made Ryan frown his face.
“Could you borrow me some money?” Ryan asked her and she looked even more shocked.
“What the hell do you mean you want me to loan you some money, I thought we were paid yesterday?” She asked.
“Oh, I forgot to mention this in the story I was about to tell you that I happily took my salary to go and give my beautiful wife so she could be able to have the fun she had always wanted and even after humiliating me, she took the money I threw on the floor” Ryan responded.
“Wait, wait, you mean to tell me you gave that hoe your entire money?” Stacy asked a little over surprised.
“What are you both doing there? Get back to work?” their manager said causing them to return to work leaving the story hanging and Ryan yet to get the loan.
The next day when he got up he found his wife was back and she was dressing yet again to go out.
“Where are you coming from?’ He asked but she paid him no mind.
“What are you doing and where are you coming from?” he asked once again.
“Would you stop touching me and making gest of what I do with my life and myself stop interrupting my life I want to live like girls my age, I don’t want to look like my great grandma meanwhile I am in my mid-twenties” she replied as she went about packing up more clothes in a bag.
“Where are you going to this time around,” he asked in a tone which had both begging and hurt in it.
He finally left her to go about her packing as he got ready for work.
“So do I meet you when I come home tonight” he asked hoping they could talk and patch things up, he was willing to forgive her utterances, but yet he received no answered as she closed the door entering a fancy vehicle.
“I heard the entire restaurant has been booked for a rich couple” Stacy said to Ryan.
“Wow I can believe they are people this rich to occupy an entire restaurant” Ryan said and went back to his work he had offered to work overtime but the manager was yet to guve him that leverage.
The entire restaurant was busy and eager working their butts off trying to make sure everything was topnotch for the person who had booked the entire restaurant when someone else entered the kitchen and told Ryan what his ears where not expecting to hear.
“You claim to be married to a beautiful and respectful wife yet she is the one who shows up with another man all smooched? How ironical can you be?” his colleague said and went on laughing.
“Hey what do you mean?” Ryan asked but got no answer as everyone turned to look at him and towards the VIP section which had been occupied by two figures and that figure, he could know it anywhere.
His colleagues made a gest of how he was a pauper and yet thought such a beauty like Emilie could be with him when she had all the riches she could ever get.
When he saw the rich man’s hand on his wife’s lap and they bent in for a kiss. Ryan walked out angrily to the spot and pulled them apart.
“Emilie, what the hell are you doing?” he asked with his eyes wide like saucers as he yanked his wife’s hand out of rich from the rich man but she pulled her hand off.
“Eww, who are you and why touch me with filthy oily hands?” Emilie asked pretending not to know who Ryan was.
“What do you mean? You are my wife Emilie for god’s sake” he screamed causing the veins of his neck popping out and the manager coming out to ask what the commotion was all about.
“Who is the manager of this place? I need this man fired” Teddy Gustave the supposed rich boss of Emilie spoke.
Seeing that things were going out of hands Stacy came and pulled Ryan away from the spot not wanting to cause more scenes as the Manager apologized.
“I am sorry for what happened here, sir and ma’am I promise he would be taught a lesson” the manager apologized.
“Left to me he should be fired he doesn’t deserve a second chance, what makes him think he can have this beauty standing before me” Teddy asked in anger as Emilie came close to him and hugged him even more pleading for him to calm down.
“He must have mistaken me for someone else baby” Emilie said and trailed behind Teddy who was already on his way out of the restaurant in anger he would have left her there if she didn’t meet up with him.
“That pauper can never be my husband babe please understand and believe me” she begged him as she entered the car.
Ryan on the other hand was being scolded by the manager but he could not get over the shock that he was going through.
His wife had just rejected him in front of all his colleagues and the only person who had his back now was Stacy who was trying her best to get him off the mood he was in but Ryan was a distraught man who wouldn’t allow what he had just encountered go that way.
He left the restaurant and no matter how many times Stacy called him he didn’t turn to look and he didn’t know where he was going to either, he just wanted some air and he needed to be far away from where his problems where and that was his home and the restaurant.
To crown everything up, she had taken his entire salary and he was broke.
Ryan walked and walked and finally he found himself where he was secluded and didn’t know how he could get back to his home.
Checking his pocket to see if he could use his phone to call he realized he had left his phone back at the Restaurant and the day was coming to an end.
Darkness was on the way and he knew no one around this side of town.
“Damn, what would I do?’ he asked himself as he didn’t know if he should go before or back.
