Anita and her daughter Ariana had a lot of catching up to do.

It had been many months since the two had seen each other, and Anita felt the need to explain why she had been so angry with Ariana when the young woman had gotten married to a man of a lower class than the Ashton family.

Even though they were now standing in the same room again, the atmosphere was tense between the two.
