Chapter 2

"Baby?! Open the door! It's me, Millie. I brought you breakfast! Are you in there?!"

Millie knocked on his apartment door impatiently, her tiny voice echoing outside.

"Wait a sec!" Seth called from the bathroom door.

With a towel on his head, Seth grabbed the apartment door, and with arduous, he pulled the door wide open. A crackling sound was deafening. His face was radiant to welcome the arrival of Millie - his lover.

The single most beautiful gift Seth had in his life - Millie Graham.

"Millie? Are you coming? I just got out of the shower. Come on in. Sorry, the door's a little broken." Seth smiled airily and opened the door wider.

If it wasn't for Millie, maybe Seth chose suicide long ago. The presence of Millie makes him keep the spirit of living a life that often ends badly and unlucky for him.

"You have to find a new apartment. Look for something better. Why are you so happy to live in this crappy place?" Millie grumbles, and she rolls her eyes lazily.

Seth giggled. "It is a cheap place, and stop nagging, sweetheart. If I have a better job later, I promise. I'll find a better place than this."

"You always promised but never do it." Millie smiled sneerily, her words were sarcastic, but that was how she loved Seth. She briefly kissed Seth's lips, then barged in and sat on the sofa. "I brought breakfast. We ate together. Do you want to go to work?"

"Yes, I have a prominent meeting," Seth said as he glanced at the wall clock. "It's too early. Breakfast with you is more important to me," he answered genuinely and darted into the kitchen to get a spoon and a drink can.

Millie gasped at him. "You are good at seduction."

She opened the paper bag on the table and took out the four breakfast boxes she brought before coming to visit her boyfriend.

"What did you buy?" Seth asked back from the kitchen, putting down his cutlery and drinks.

"There's apple pie, bagels, and waffles. It's all your favorite," Millie replied with a lovely smile. Her hand took a spoon and cut the apple pie. "Open your mouth. Try this one."

Seth receives a feed from Millie. His mouth was full of pieces of apple pie that tasted so delicious.

Seth nods. "Woah. It's delicate."

"Really?" Millie asked curiously about the taste. Her turn to bite. "The new store opened this morning. It smells good from the outside. That's why I stopped by. Well, you're right. Oh, great. This is so good."

"Are you not working?" Seth asked with a frown. Cut off the sweet bagels and feed Millie.

Millie devoured him passionately. "Hmm, the bagels are also delicious. I work, but I miss you. Before I left, I came here."

Seth and Millie both laughed heartily. Seth grabbed Millie's fingers and kissed the back of her hand.

"Every day, I am grateful and feel so lucky to have you, Millie. I love you so much. You are my adorable sweetheart."

Millie rolled her eyes. "Oh, yeah? I almost always hear that seduction when we meet." Millie sneered softly.

"Listen to me. Find a better new apartment than this."

"Yes, I'll look for it later. I need to work harder to make more money. I mean, every breath I take has your name. My mind is always full of you." Seth hummed while giggling.

"How's work?" Millie asked anxiously. "Are your colleagues still bullying you cruelly?"

Seth nodded his head listlessly.

Millie's forehead puckered, and she couldn't think of Seth's attitude. "Why don't you fight them?! Do something. You make me mad when I hear the stories of all your mentally evil colleagues! Oh, gosh! I want to kill them!" And she continued berserk. "Don't be weak, Seth. They will continue to bully you if you keep quiet."

"What can I do, Millie? They are rich and powerful people. Castor Black's family is mighty. He works for formality only. I'm powerless against them. If only I could fight. I'm sick of their behavior, too." Seth said hoarsely and in rage.

Millie took a deep breath. She nodded at Seth with a soft hand. "Then you must fight them! They're evil, taking your paycheck and wasting it. How foolish they are! Do something, do not be silent!! Oh my god, this is driving me crazy!"

Seth grasped Millie's fingers gently. "I promise to fight when I find the right time."

Above all, Millie is the only woman who accepts Seth's situation, regardless of property or position. Millie loves Seth unconditionally. It's so hard to find a woman as good as Millie Graham in the middle of this dilapidated Oakenvale country.

Even though Millie's parents have not blessed their relationship.

Millie doesn't seem to care. She still chooses Seth as her soulmate and doesn't mind his mediocre life.

Seth wants to propose to his girlfriend someday when his life is better.

Millie pulled her hand from Seth's fingers, and she looked angry. "Maybe later is too late, and they must have finished you first! I can't accept you treated like that. Let me repay them! Allow me to beat them one by one!"

"No, baby. I can handle it. Give me some time. Everything will be fine, as long as you stay with me. There's no one to cheer me on except you, babe." Seth fell on Millie's lap and kissed her hands.

Millie giggled. Hearing Seth's words made her inner rumble, and her anger vanished. She kissed Seth on the lips gently.

Seth reciprocates and pulls Millie into his arms.

The world seemed to belong to them, and time passed quickly– they kissed passionately. Millie pulls Seth onto the couch and drops the man into her arms. A warm kiss, looking for passion and sharing a sigh.

They forgot breakfast, enjoying Millie's eager caresses so early in the morning. The woman stripped one by one of her clothes, and Seth hurriedly did something similar. Their skin is touching and rubbing against each other.

Millie's body looked ravishing. Those who are both burned by adrenaline mixed with great desire.

Aggressively Millie sat on Seth's lap. The woman moaned as she guided Seth's two hands to every inch of her body.

[ Ranggg!!! Rangggg!!! ]

The intimate kiss stops as Seth lets go of Millie's embrace.

"Your phone is ringing, baby." Seth grabbed Millie's bag on the couch by the door.

Millie reached into her bag, "my boss. Sorry, baby. I have to go. See you soon."

[ Cup! ]

Millie waved, smiling broadly, and left.

Seth smiled after his girlfriend went with a sweet kiss on the lips. Too bad, Seth drove his girl to the door and saw her back down the stairs answering her cell phone.

"Sorry, Millie. But today, I accidentally skipped work." Seth muttered, sitting on the sofa to finish his delayed breakfast.

Seth smiled obliquely. "I'll make them pay today!"

He couldn't wait to see what happened today. All night he set up a trap system for Castor Black and his group.

Seth sighed long, his jaw adorned with a smile as evil as the devil. He went back to his desk.

"I want to see their reaction and stupid faces." Seth laughed bitterly. "Perfect vengeance."
