Disappointment was evident on his face as he asked, "Did you consider all my requests unimportant? Otherwise, why haven't you completed everything as promised?"

Elijah sighed heavily and quickly refuted, "It's not like that, young master. When I took on the responsibility of bringing that individual, I visited the organization where he was training and discovered that he was assigned a mission."

He paused briefly before adding, "Upon learning about his mission, he wanted to inform you, but I was concerned that you would be disappointed in me for failing to fulfill the task. I apologize."

Nolan looked at him coldly, unsatisfied with Elijah's explanation. What was the point of explaining now when the task still remained incomplete?

“You don't need to apologize. You should have told me instead of keeping quiet, and getting my hopes all high.” He said, looking disappointed.

“What about the auction? Will that still happen or some changes have occurred?” Nolan asked, with little hope.
