I guess he thought it would be a case where it was natural for him to take the first watch.

I hadn’t really thought about it before but looking back now, Reginald always tried to act as the shield of the group.

Even when he was also exhausted, he always took the role of a tank, helping the others recover while his condition got worse.

It made me curious to learn more about him.

We had spent sometime together but both he and Lincoln were still blank sheets.

Apart from what they showed in the academy, I had no idea about their backgrounds.

So I had to wonder if Reginald’s protective actions was as a result of his background or it was just something he developed at the academy.

Thinking about it, I guess the reason should be leaning towards the former.

Even Lincoln… he clearly also has his own secrets.

If we manage to survive this Nightmare… maybe I’d ask them.

Glancing over at Reginald, he seemed to notice my gaze as he turned and met it with a smile.
