Chapter 27Maverick Followed Hermione who seemed to be in command of the mission and James into a black vehicle and then drove off to where the portal was.On the way, Maverick kept checking out the weapons he was gifted and was trying to get used to them.In his past life, he had always used a sword and never a gun nor a Katana. Chapter 31Maverick had blocked the sonic explosion with a force shield from his talent, but the power was still enough to drive him back and crash him to the ground forcefully. Chapter 32Maverick, James and Hermione came out of the portal, looking all battered than when they had gone in. All their clothes were ripped apart and burnt out, the only solid piece of clothing they still had left was the armour like chest jacket they wore for added protection. Chapter 33That night, Maverick had a nightmare and he jolted awake, sweating and panting. He looked at the time and saw that it was just 2am in the morning. He looked around and then sighed. He had dreamt that he watched his parents die again just the same way they had died before in his past life, and in the dream he could stop crying and blaming himself for their death. He woke up with the dame guilt hanging on his chest like it had actually happened. Maverick began thinking about how everything happened last time. Until he had died in his past life he was never able to discover just what led to his parents death, or what may have caused it. He doesn't know if it was caused by monsters or if they were poisoned.
