Draken landed softly after his double jump. The monster didn’t give him a moment to rest, rushing at him with its sharp claws.

Reacting quickly, Draken jumped backward and then jumped again in mid-air, narrowly avoiding the attack.

Draken was no match for one-half his size, despite how much quicker he may have been. Moreover, the monster was difficult to approach and created illusions after all so it would be impossible even with expectations.

The monster attacked Draken, forcing him to dodge and run away. Draken struggled, and sweat poured from his face as he fought to prevent the lethal claws.
